Summary:
It takes a pissed-off Brahma bull named Shockwave to show rodeo pickup man Marty Fairgrave the cold hard truth about champion bull rider Tripp Colby: Tripp will never leave the safety of his closet or acknowledge Marty in public. Sometimes loving someone just isn’t enough, and after a year of hiding what they are, Marty finally sees the light—and it’s no longer shining on Tripp.
Tripp Colby would do anything for Marty. Well . . . almost. He’s never loved anyone before, and isn’t quite sure how to handle it now. But he knows Marty is his everything, and in order to win him back, Tripp will have to overcome his darkest fears and step into the light.

I fell in love with Marty and Tripp from the very beginning. Even when Tripp wasn't exactly stepping forward the way a lover should, I still felt for him. The story is an even blend of romance, cowboys, rodeo, drama, and even humor. Well written characters, a plot that grabbed my attention immediately, and I was so sorry to see the final page. It's not easy going for the rodeo pair and their friends but the author definitely makes you want to find out how it ends.

I won't lie, I anticipated the pairing of Bridge and Eric from the minute Eric was introduced in Pickup Men. I was so glad to see that they were given their own story. There is a lot of between Bridge and Eric that could have been cleared up with true sit down communication but where is the fun in that? This story held my attention once again from page one through to the end. I can't wait to see what is brought to us in the next installment.
