TEA FOR TWO – The SOS Series – Book 2 is set within the Juliet world and provides further glimpses into Salvatore Raniero’s backstory.

KAILEE REESE SAMUELS writes contemporary, romantic, and suspense, with an erotic flair. Let her words whisk you away, escaping with delicious guys, toe-curling kisses, and addictive stories.

WARNING: This book contains graphic BDSM, strong sexual situations, and explicit language. Contents intended for MATURE readers 18+ ONLY.

1. What is the biggest influence/interest that brought you to this genre?
This is such a tough question because I write in more than one genre. My books are full of romance, suspense, and intrigue. Heavily character and story drive with elements of erotica that enhance the main plot. I enjoy the layering, which I think give the reader a more immersive experience. It’s wonderful when I have people asking me for their own application to Juliet!

2. When writing a book, what is your favorite part of the creative process(outline, plot, character names, editing, etc)?
I enjoy all of the creative process really, I guess if I had to pick one it would be the initial writing of the story.

3. When reading a book, what genre do you find most interesting/intriguing?
I try and find multi-genre books or even genreless. Once I find an author I like, I’ll read their whole backlist. I tend to get bored with single tropes.

4. If you could co-author with any author, past or present, who would you choose?
That’s an easy one! Molly Weatherfield, writer of “Carrie’ Story” and “Safe Word.” Her work is a great example of having a storyline with erotic layers. I know a lot of people would classify it differently, but I have always experienced her work from a character driven perspective. The erotic touches are very much secondary to the journey of Carrie’s character. They are both beautiful pieces of erotic literature.

The difficult thing about writing erotic literature in 2017 is I think on the whole a lot of readers have become anesthetized to elements in bdsm. What some view as light may be trigger-loaded for another, so it’s difficult to find the balance between the two. My goal is to craft a good story with strong characters and challenging plot lines with erotic elements, but those scenes never control the book—the emotions do. I still believe the mind is the biggest and most vast source for arousal, when you just dissolve into the page, becoming part of the world. And Molly Weatherfield illustrated that better than most with her classic, transparent, and immersive writing.

5. Have you always wanted to write or did it come to you "later in life"?
I’ve been writing my whole life. In my childhood, I cut my teeth on poetry and progressed to short stories. I’ve always been in my head, crafting and mapping stories—it is my sanctuary and I wouldn’t know how to exist without it!

Thank you for your questions!
XO - Kailee

Abbey's Search for Sanctuary by Eris Field

Title: Abbey's Search for Sanctuary
Author: Eris Field
Series: Destiny: Choice or Chance #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 15, 2017
Summary:
Abbey’s Search for Sanctuary, Stand-alone Book One of Destiny: Choice or Chance Trilogy. A riveting story of violence against women including baby girls and those who fight to protect them.

Turkish-American nurse Abbey shelters her younger sister after she divorces her Muslim husband when she learns his mother is going to perform a circumcision on their baby girl, Jenny. When her sister is murdered by her ex-husband, Abbey knows she must find a way to keep Jenny safe.

Once a Peshmerga fighter and medic with the Kurdish forces in Iraq, Rami now works with refugees in Buffalo. Shunned by his grandfather and family for failing to demand retribution when his arranged marriage failed, Rami avoids emotional attachments. That is, until he meets Abbey.

Warning Abbey that honor killings are often family affairs and she and Jenny are in danger, Rami offers her a way out: a marriage of convenience and refuge in his homeland, Kurdistan.

Abbey is committed to doing anything to protect Jenny but can she face going back to the world of her childhood: a world of headscarves and submission, a world that scarred her mother and killed her sister, a world she escaped once?

“Relationship!” Abbey exploded. “There is no relationship between a Muslim man and a woman. He’s the owner and she’s his property. She’s not even a second class citizen in her own country.”

“It’s never been that way for Kurdish women. They have never covered their faces or worn those black shrouds. Some choose to wear headscarves and some don’t. They wear brightly colored clothing. They like colors, especially amethyst” He became more serious. “They have fought alongside their husbands for centuries. They believe it’s better to die in battle beside their husband than be raped as one of the spoils of war.” He spoke more calmly, “Women are pushing for changes. They want to get rid of polygamy, forced early marriages, and female genital mutilation. . . . We’ve talked about what we don’t want. Now we must learn what each wants in life. Tell me what’s important to you.”

“A family. I’ve always dreamed of having a family.” She felt a blush creep over her cheeks but she forged on. “Not just two children. A real family, at least four children.”

“You say ‘at least’?”

She lifted her eyes to his. “Do the math! I am twenty-six. I would be very fortunate if I had four babies.”

“What else is important to you?”

“I want to stay me.” She hurried on at the sound of his glass hitting the table. “I remember when my mother and father lived here, in Buffalo. She was happy. They laughed together and did things together.” She shifted and sat back on her heels in front of him. “When my father took us back to Turkey, to Gaziantep, it all changed.”

“How did it change?” Rami asked somberly.

“There were so many things she couldn’t do.” Abbey choked up. “She had to have my father’s permission for everything! My mother couldn’t go out alone, not even to go shopping. She couldn’t drive the car. She had no money of her own and no friends. Slowly, the beautiful, happy mother I had known changed. When her father finally was able to bring her home, to his home in Orchard Park, she was just a shadow of herself, worn away by the rules. She brought Jeyda and me with her but she had to leave my little brother in Turkey . . . with his father.” Her voice broke as she reached for her wineglass. “The same thing happened to my sister. She met her husband when she was teaching at the University at Buffalo and he was a graduate student from Egypt. Before they were married, they did everything together. Then, when they were married, it changed.”

“Tell me. Did your sister help him get his ‘green card’ so he could stay in this country?”

“Yes. She was so much in love. She wanted to do everything to please him.”

Abbey wrapped her arms around herself. “I tried to warn her . . .Almost instantly after they were married, everything changed. Jeyda could not go out of the house without his permission. She had no money. He took away her credit cards and cell phone. He didn’t want me to visit her.” She reached involuntarily for his hand and felt him lace his fingers with hers. “He did not want her to talk to me on the phone. I begged her to leave him but she was pregnant and afraid." Abbey shuddered. “I didn’t think she would have ever left him but when she learned they were going to cut baby Jenny . . ."

Target by LP Dover

Title: Target
Author: LP Dover
Series: Circle of Justice #2
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: April 4, 2017
Summary:
An assassin . . . that’s what I am.
I’m Wade Chandler by day and a killer at night. I get the job done no matter the cost. Not only do I hunt people for the FBI, but I’m also the owner of Chandler Enterprises, one of the top companies in the southeast.

When Brina Carmichael – daughter of the former president – wants my business advice, it’s hard to resist her long legs and seductive smile. One thing leads to another and now I’m in too deep.
I can’t let her know what I am, but I’ve never wanted a woman the way I want her.

However, harboring secrets comes at a price and I have a feeling she’s keeping some of her own. Especially, when my next mission leads me straight to her. Turns out she’s not who I thought she was.

Standing at the receptionist’s desk, I waited to hear the verdict. Would Wade see me or not? When I heard his answer, I breathed a sigh of relief. I didn’t want my stupidity to ruin my shop’s chances at success.

The receptionist smiled up at me. “You can go back now, Ms. Carmichael. His office is the last one on the right.”

“Thank you,” I replied with a smile of my own.

Pulse pounding in my ears, I walked down the hall to Wade’s office. I had a folder of my designs tucked under my arm. Hopefully, it’d be enough to persuade him. Taking a deep breath, I knocked on his door.

“Come in,” he called out, his voice making me shiver.

I hated how this man made me feel like that. It’d been over a week and I could still feel the way he touched every square inch of my body. I wasn’t a needy woman, but he made me want more. This is business, nothing more.

Head held high, I opened the door. Wade was at his desk, leaning back in his chair, all cool and confident, dressed in his expensive suit with his brown hair perfectly coifed. Definitely not a bundle of nerves, like I was. “Mr. Chandler, it’s good to see you again.”

His brows lifted. “Likewise. Although I’d probably believe it more if you hadn’t run out on me the last time.”

And there it was.

Biting my lip, I shut the door. I couldn’t tell if he was angry, or didn’t care. “Thought I’d save you the trouble,” I confessed. “We both had a little too much to drink that night. And let’s face it, it was either going to be me or you. And I prefer not to be the one left behind.”

“Neither do I,” he said in all seriousness. “So, what brings you here?”

Trigger #1

It triggered the pain, the need.

I knew what I had to do, and I did it well. But I never expected for Emma Turner – the only link to my past – to come back into my life.

She triggers a different emotion inside me, something I hadn’t ever felt.

It’s not a want to kill . . . but a need to CLAIM.
