Pam makes a few startling revelations about herself, while Sandra hopes for a future with exciting expectations. Marie is in a most unlikely place, with the happiest news in the bleakest circumstances. Ashton’s story of a lifetime love affair with Jack is finally told, with its heartache revealed.

Family Dynamics #5

Her children move on with their lives in ways Pam would have never believed possible. Sandra fulfills her dreams with Tom, and a gift from Marie helps to complete their life together. Ashton and Ted build a beautiful life, and new discoveries make it richer than they thought possible, but with a twist. But don’t be deceived; what you see is not what you may get.

Genre: M/M Romance

With only a week to go, and his options running out fast, he resorts to asking a busker he finds performing on the city streets to step in and help save the day.

As it turns out though, this guy Fynn is pretty amazing with his guitar, and he has the most beautiful eyes – not that Nicholas is looking. But it becomes quickly apparent that finding a musician is the least of Nicholas’s problems. Between last minute cancellations, wayward family members, and a cat with a serious vendetta against happiness, he knows he’ll be lucky if they all make it to the big day intact.

He just doesn’t have time to fall in love, let alone with a boy However, like almost everything else in the week to come, he may not exactly have a choice…

๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸฐA standalone, New Adult romance with a happy ending.๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŽธ๐ŸŽŠ

What a lovely read!  You can't help but fall in love with both Nicholas and Fynn, they are just so darn adorable.  I won't go into any individual examples or spoilers but I will say that A Ballad of Confetti, Cake, and Catastrophes is not exactly what I would call a comedy of errors but it can certainly be used as a lesson in Murphy's Law, anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

Ballad may be light-hearted and fun but it is at it's core a love story.  Some might call it a coming of age tale, personally when I think of coming of age I picture high school age so I would use the term "finding yourself" but that is just me.  However you look at it, Nicholas and Fynn's journey is a wonderful read that is well written, will lift your heart, and make you smile.

I will add that if you are in the middle of planning your own wedding it might be better to read Ballad after the confetti has been thrown, cake has been eaten, and catastrophes have been cleaned up because you might find the Murphy's Law moments either laugh-out-loud hilarious or Oh-My-God terrifying.  I'm kidding.  Seriously though, Ballad is one of those tales that can be read anytime, anywhere, and will make your day brighter.  Helen Juliet is a new author that I will definitely be checking out again.
