The Truth Be Told #3
Summary:
From the moment Andrew Wise and McKenzie Evans first met, they tried to fight the magnetism that pulled them together. No matter how hard they struggled with their feelings, their love was a force so strong that neither of them could deny it.
The news of Olivia Hamilton’s pregnancy, and the understanding that Drew is the father, led McKenzie to flee with the hope of rectifying her secret betrayal of falling in love with her best friend’s boyfriend. However, when Drew showed up and declared his undying love for her, McKenzie could no longer deny the truth. She and Drew were destined for each other.
McKenzie now has no choice but to face Olivia in order for her and Drew to move on with their lives together. Secrets and lies may have kept them apart, but now, in the light of the truth, their legacy shines as pure as their love.
For as long as Drew can remember, there has always been tension between him and his father, Jonathan. This time is proving no different. Since sharing the truth of his past with McKenzie, Drew is emboldened by her unwavering love and acceptance of the man he is. He’ll do anything necessary to protect the woman he loves and the life he’s come to understand she deserves. With Jonathan and Olivia teamed together to rip them apart, Drew and McKenzie, along with the aid of some unexpected allies, must join forces to overcome the obstacles that will inevitably come their way.
In this much anticipated final installment of The Truth in Lies Saga, Drew and McKenzie will unite together to conquer the past, face the future, and uncover the truth in lies that threaten to destroy them. Love brought them together and love will set them free.
I'm completely torn with this one. Not torn because of it's content or it's quality but because it's the end of McKenzie & Drew's tale. As with the other installments in the series, Truth is beautifully written and the author has once again captured the reader's heart with her words. Not only is this a tale of love but also friendships, good and bad, and how those friendships can make us better even if some of those "friends" intent is not for the better. If you haven't been reading this series either because you were waiting for it to be complete or because you just hadn't found it before, well now is the perfect time to get started. Trust me, if you like romance and good storytelling, then this is definitely one you need to check out, you will not be disappointed.

The Truth in Lies #1
Summary:
Life is a sequence of choices. Some are deliberate, others are forced upon you. This was a lesson that McKenzie Evans knew all too well. After the miscarriage of her son, she made the hard decision to leave her absentee boyfriend and move in with her former college roommate, Olivia Hamilton. That's when she was introduced to Andrew Wise, a brilliant attorney, working for his family's law firm in Sarasota, Florida. To McKenzie, Drew became her salvation. He had a way of understanding her when no one else could. The closer they became, the more McKenzie found herself falling in love with Drew. He was everything she ever dreamed of in a man, and for the first time in her life, she felt truly alive. There was only one problem. Drew was dating Olivia. With the help of fate and circumstance, Drew and McKenzie journey down a path of unrequited love and denied feelings. In the end, they must make a choice between their hearts or their consciences. In this one decision they discover that there's always a glimmer of truth to a lie, that there's a fine line between love and friendship, and sometimes you have to risk everything to gain everything.
I was lucky and fortunate to read a copy of this book prior to it's release and I am forever grateful to have been given this opportunity. From word one, the story had my attention and then once I got to the last page, my heart is trembling waiting for the next installment. There's a myriad of emotions in every page. I don't give out spoilers, any one who knows me, knows that. I will say that one quote early on not only speaks volumes but in my opinion but also sets the tone to the whole purpose of the story. ‘You’re not a failure. You’re a survivor. Call me. –Drew’
The Certainty of Deception #2
Summary:
After years of living in the darkness of his past, Andrew Wise, a young attorney working for his family’s law firm in Sarasota, Florida, has finally broken free of the demons that haunt him. Wealth, success, happiness, and true love; everything a man could ever dream of, was right at his fingertips. Or so he thought. But in the blink of an eye, all of that changed. Upon discovering that his ex-girlfriend, Olivia Hamilton, was pregnant, Drew fell back into some old habits, which led to him losing the one person that mattered the most in his life - McKenzie Evans.
When McKenzie left him and returned to Texas, Drew was beside himself. The night before she left, he made an agreement with her best friend Jared Christopher, that he would give her time and space to come to grips with the fact that he’d fathered her best friend’s child. Now, two months later, he feels as though he held up his end of the bargain, Drew can’t take their separation any longer. With his brother’s wedding mere weeks away, Drew devises a plan to win McKenzie back.
Under the guise of a bachelor getaway for Gavin, Drew, along with his brother and Jared, jets off on an adventure to the panhandle of Texas. There, he will learn what made McKenzie who she is and will find strength within himself that he never realized existed.
In this charming sequel to The Truth in Lies, Drew and McKenzie discover that not everything is as it seems, forgiveness is a matter of acceptance, and true love really can conquer all.
I didn't think it was possible to love Drew & McKenzie any more than I did when I read The Truth in Lies but the author has made me do it. Full of emotion, passion, deception, and truths as their story continues. If you read the Truth in Lies you want to be sure and keep up with Drew & McKenzie's story and if you haven't read the first story yet, what are you waiting for? It's a must read for lovers of romance, drama, and just plain excellence in the written word of fiction. And now, the wait for book 3 begins.

The Hot Mess #2.5
Summary:
In this steamy companion to The Certainty of Deception, McKenzie Evans struggles with the impromptu return of Andrew Wise into her life. Determined to show him that he can’t just waltz in and sweep her off her feet, McKenzie uses the power of her sexual prowess to command the man who shattered her heart only months earlier. Conflicted by emotions, she struggles with the ramifications of past decisions and future consequences of current actions. Lost in passion and regret, McKenzie toes the line between love and hate, forgiveness and bitterness, but most of all, the possibility of once again losing herself to someone who will only serve to hurt her in the end.
A wonderful outtake to tide us over until the finale comes out. Short but oh so sweet and yummy, more yummy than sweet but still completely McKenzie & Drew.
