Friday's Film Adaption: Old Yeller by Fred Gipson

Summary:
At first, Travis couldn't stand the sight of Old Yeller.

The stray dog was ugly, and a thieving rascal, too. But he sure was clever, and a smart dog could be a big help on the wild Texas frontier, especially with Papa away on a long cattle drive up to Abilene.

Strong and courageous, Old Yeller proved that he could protect Travis's family from any sort of danger. But can Travis do the same for Old Yeller?

Film:
When his younger brother adopts a frisky lop-eared stray, 15-year-old Travis, acting "man-of-the-house," tries to shoo him away. But Old Yeller soon proves he is anything but "yellow" when he protects the family farm and saves Travis' life.

Release Date: December 25, 1957
Running Time: 83 minutes

Cast:
Fess Parker as Jim Coates
Dorothy McGuire as Katie Coates
Tommy Kirk as Travis Coates
Kevin Corcoran as Arliss Coates
Jeff York as Bud Searcy
Beverly Washburn as Lisbeth Searcy

Truly a great family classic.  A real tear jerker that won't leave a dry eye in the house. What more is there to say other than a definite must for family night.

Release Day Blitz: The Domville 2 by CJ Fallowfield

Title: The Domville 2
Author: CJ Fallofield
Series: Domville #2
Genre: Erotica
Release Date: July 17, 2015
Summary:
No one knows what goes on behind closed doors

Lisa Roberts was about to experience the happiest day of her life, at least that’s what everyone kept telling her. She was getting married in the morning, to her childhood sweetheart, Brady Collins. Brady was the man who took her virginity, who treated her like a delicate, rare and precious flower. She loved him. She couldn’t remember a time that she hadn’t loved him, but part of her wondered if this was it. If their tender love making and harmonious relationship was as good as it got. They sailed along on smooth waters, with barely a ripple to disrupt the flow. Shouldn’t love be choppy, blinding, scorching, passionate, volatile and dangerous? Leaving you unable to breathe when you were apart? Clinging to each other in the eye of the storm?

A chance meeting with a sexy guy at a bar, while she pondered her fate, challenged everything Lisa had ever believed in. Was Brady really the man of her dreams, or could an abandoned night with a stranger far exceed them?

The Domville 2 is the second of a series of self-contained hot erotic reads, set in the exclusive six star hotel chain.

Warning – This is an erotica series, if you’re after a happy ever after, then I’d suggest trying one of my erotic romance novels instead.

This novella contains explicit adult sexual content and is suitable only for those aged 18 and over.

Author Bio:
I write contemporary erotic romance, with humour, which are full of emotion and plenty of drama. I am a 44-year-old female from the United Kingdom and live in the wonderful countryside of Wales, surrounded by rolling hills, trees, and fields full of sheep and cows. Writing aids include chocolate, Ben & Jerry’s and copious amounts of coffee, wine, or cider.

Title: Pistol Fanny's Hank & Delilah
Author: Annie Rose Welch
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: July 18, 2015
Summary:
Never fall in love with a bank robber.

Especially if she’s the one who robbed your bank, took you hostage, and dumped you unconscious at the local convenience store. And definitely not if you are the assistant district attorney of Tupelo, Mississippi.

This is the advice Hank Huckleberry Rivers would have given himself, back when he was a man who vowed to always walk on the right side of the law. The same law that had seemed sacrosanct ever since the day he and his friends watched as two men were murdered right below their tree house.

Falling in love with a dangerous criminal can have life-altering consequences, though. And when the past and the present meet head-on, Hank finds himself in more trouble than he ever bargained for. He must run to save his life, daring to find answers to the questions threatening his safety and his heart, as the killer below the tree house comes after Hank—and his pistol-wielding bank robber.

It’s a simple case of love in the first degree.

Author Bio:
Born and raised in New Orleans, Annie has a habit of shortening her words and telling long stories. She speaks with a southern flair and cooks with it too. At the tender age of twenty- one, she hitched up her wagons (took her first plane ride) and moved out west to the big shake (California). Her writing career began one sleepless night when she imagined a gorgeous woman and a man with maniacal hair floating above her like lightening bugs falling from the sky. Curious about them, their story, and why they were floating around in her head, she sat down and penned (typed) her first novel, Marigny Street. A dream come true for her, she hasn't stopped writing since. She loves a damn good love story, always has, no matter what the genre. She is particularly moved by imperfect love that in its own unique way is perfect, the notion of love at first sight, soul mates, and things that are generally out of the norm.

When she's not writing she enjoys dabbling in photography and finding new, inspirational music to add to her collection. She currently (still) resides in the big shake (although her southern roots are calling her home) with her husband, daughter, and their two peculiar dogs, Boudreaux and Tabasco (who, call her crazy, bark with an accent).

For lagniappe (a little extra), a virtual cup of café au lait and beignets, please visit Annie's website.

Dating Wars by Ravyn Rayne

Title: Dating Wars
Author: Ravyn Rayne
Series: Federal Agent Chronicles #2
Genre: Romantic Erotica, Crime Drama, Thriller
Release Date: July 6, 2015
Publisher: Blushing Books Publishing
Summary:
Finding love in all the wrong places.

When a serial rapist and murderer targets women on an online dating website, FBI Agent Leslie Hunter must pose as a potential match at a bar. How hard could it be? She's been dating online for years.

While undercover, Leslie meets a handsome gentleman. She can't tell Kevin her profession without ruining the investigation. How long can she keep this man out of danger without revealing she's an FBI Agent?

A taste of pole dancing, phone sex, and spankings combined with a lick of danger. A romantic erotica story that's sure to leave your heart racing and pleased afterwards.

“Hey sexy.” I hear Kaitlyn’s voice and my eyes widen glancing up, as the dancers are once again on the bar.

“Kai?” I can’t stop myself from calling her by name. I’ve always seen the dark-haired agent in a pants suit, one rare occasion a skirt. This is something else entirely.

Kevin removes his drink from the bar. “You know the dancer?”

Kaitlyn is up there wearing nothing more than a red g-string bikini. Her brunette locks cascade down her back and her makeup looks like a hooker must have put it on her. She’s got thick turquoise eyeliner and lime green glittery eye shadow.

“Long story. We used to work together.” It’s not a lie but in the way Kevin’s mind is ticking, he must think I had been an exotic dancer. Not the case! Though, what harm could come from him believing it to be true? It is safer for everyone, than Kevin knowing I’m working undercover.

Kevin laughs and his cheeks redden. I’m guessing it’s the beer. He’s looking over Kaitlyn a little too intimately and long for my pleasure.

“Quite a story, I bet,” Kevin says. “Maybe you can share it on our second date?”
