Title: Let Me In
Author: Luna David
Series: The Boys Club #1
Genre: M/M Romance, Erotica, BDSM, Daddy Kink
Release Date: March 29, 2018
Summary:
Twenty-year-old Liam Cavanagh works three dead-end-jobs to take care of his family. He’s been the sole breadwinner since he was fifteen and yearns for a life of his own. Forced to grow up too fast, he carries the burdens of responsibilities that shouldn’t be his, and it’s slowly destroying him. The more he tries to control, the more out of control he feels.

When he gets a hit on a personal ad he placed on The Boys Club app, he shrugs it off as impossible. With nearly 600 miles between him and “Boston Daddy” he knew the odds were against them. Until Boston Daddy’s current boy convinces him otherwise and persuades Liam to take on the role of Daddy’s new boy.

Saying forty-year-old entrepreneur Cash Moreau is having a bad week is an understatement. The man he’s been with for years leaves him for a new job, his own company is in crisis, and to top it all off, a young stranger shows up on his doorstep with all his worldly possessions, claiming to be his new boy. Liam wants a Daddy to depend on, and Cash refuses to believe he’s what’s best for Liam.

Despite their powerful connection, Cash finally pushes Liam away, and the beautiful boy who stole his heart disappears. Soon, Cash realizes what he’s let slip through his fingers. The elusive thing he’s been searching for is Liam, it’s only ever been Liam, and suddenly Cash will move heaven and earth to find what he’s lost. Will he find his boy in time to make things right, or is it too late to let him in?

Three hours later, he felt Liam stir and glanced over to see him stretch, look at the clock, and grimace. “Sorry I slept so long. Thought I’d just be out for an hour at most.”

Cash squeezed Liam’s thigh and smiled when the boy moved to cover his hand and give it a squeeze in return. Cash pulled off the freeway at the next exit, headed towards a chain restaurant he figured was better than a fast food joint, and pulled into the parking lot. He squeezed Liam’s leg again, unhooked his seatbelt and kissed him softly on the lips, whispering, “Stay right where you are.”

Liam did as he was told, and Cash walked around the car to open his door and help him out. He clasped Liam’s hand and made to turn to lead them to the restaurant’s entrance, but he was stopped when Liam didn’t budge. Turning, a questioning look in his eyes, Cash met Liam’s gaze, saw his rosy cheeks and moved back towards him. He leaned back against the car door and slid his finger in one of Cash’s belt loops, tugging him flush against his body.

Cash slid his arm around Liam’s back and smiled down a him. Liam’s flirtatious smile and sparkling eyes made his smile grow wider. “What is it, boy?”

“The first time it happened, I thought it was because I was hurt. The second time, at the shop, I thought it was because I was taking too long getting my wallet, but you asked me to wait for you this time. Do I need to wait every time I get out of the car?”

Cash couldn’t fully read Liam yet, so he didn’t want to step on his toes, if the boy didn’t like it. “You don’t have to, if you don’t want—”

He stopped when Liam lifted his fingers to his lips to shush him. The boy was adorable when he smiled shyly up and him, and when he said, “Does Daddy want me to wait for him to come help me out of the car?”Cash nearly groaned out loud and pressed his hips into Liam’s so he’d feel what Liam had done to him.

“Yes, boy, I do.”

Liam looked deeply into his eyes, lifted his hands and scratched them through Cash’s beard. Cash couldn’t keep his hips from grinding into Liam’s again. Damn, but the boy was full of surprises. Liam licked his lips and asked, “Are you always going to take such good care of me?”

“Yes. I take care of what’s mine.”

Liam nodded as if his answer had been expected then whispered, “How am I ever going to be able to thank you for being so good to me?”

Cash couldn’t keep the Cheshire grin off his face when he nearly growled, “I’m sure I can come up with something.”

Liam licked his lips and said, “I hope so.”And pushed against Cash’s body enough to have him moving back. Liam clasped his hand and looked up at him when he asked, “Can I get a milkshake, Daddy?”

Cash chuckled and nodded. “Yeah, I think you deserve one. Come on. Let’s fatten you up a bit, shall we?”

Liam laughed and nodded. “Yes. Let’s.”

What is the biggest influence/interest that brought you to this genre?
I read JR Ward’s Lover at Last, Qhuinn and Blaylock’s story, and I loved the dynamic between two men. From then on, I started looking for more to read and joined the Goodreads MM Book Rec group which lead me to the FB group and I couldn’t get enough. Ideas started percolating in my brain and I decided to go for it. Best decision I ever made.

When writing a book, what is your favorite part of the creative process (outline, plot, character names, editing, etc.)?
Well, writing The End is a huge favorite. 😉 But other than that, each piece has an interest for me. Plotting is great because ideas are coming and sometimes it’s like I can’t write or type them fast enough. Outlining (a skill I recently picked up bc I used to be a pantser but forced myself to be a plotter) is good because I can see the plotting turning into something solid and taking a shape of its own. Character names is also fun because I have a huge excel spreadsheet full of names I’ve come up with or like a lot. So, if I don’t already have a character name determined (meaning if it’s a new character to a series) I check that list out or google baby name lists and scroll through until I find one that “feels” right for the character. The writing of the book is also fun because putting words to paper is kind of addictive and there’s nothing quite like it, for me anyway. And the editing process is painful sometimes but also great because the words you wrote are being polished and you see a different way to look at things when you see your work through someone else’s eyes. Hitting the publishing button is fun, too, and so far, every single time, scary as shit.

When reading a book, what genre do you find most interesting/intriguing?
I only read M/M (or M/M/M) anymore, really. Occasionally, if someone rec’s a book hard, I’ll read M/F, but it’s never my go to. From there I love all sorts of stuff but my go-tos are large dominating men with smaller submissive men, Military/Security/protector, contemporary, age gap, age play, BDSM, Daddy Kink, and hurt/comfort. But honestly, if it’s rec’d and others like it, I’ll read pretty much anything except really dark reads.

If you could co-author with any author, past or present, who would you choose?
I’m currently co-authoring The Boys Club with Sheena J. Himes, a Daddy Kink series we’re really excited about. We’re doing it a bit differently. I’m writing books 1, 3, 5, and maybe 7 and she’s writing 2, 4, 6, and maybe 8. But that’s IF we can get our solo projects to cooperate. That’s not always easy, so if one of us is ready to go and the other isn’t, the order doesn’t matter as much. We’ve wanted to write this for well over a year now and both plotted out multiple books and then basically set them aside for our solo projects and finally came back to it. I’m also discussing another collab possibility with someone but keeping that one under wraps for now until it’s something we want to make public, but that project is a long way off.

Have you always wanted to write or did it come to you "later in life"?
No, I haven’t always wanted to write. Or, at least, I didn’t know that’s what I SHOULD be doing. When I was young I remember I started having all these ideas in my head. Full stories, parts of stories, snippets of ideas. But I never had someone that encouraged me to write them down bc I’m an introverted person. I wasn’t chatting about all the ideas in my head because one, I thought EVERYONE had them, and two, I wasn’t a sharer. So, I just grew up having all these thoughts and ideas and full-blown stories in my head. I never thought about writing them down and continued to think it was normal for everyone. Fast forward to college when a friend of mine was reading a book I’d read, and I was like OMG I loved that book, wasn’t it good? And that was the first time I knew someone else the read romance novels. We grew closer and chatted about what books to read, what not to read, etc. Later on after we graduated, we both randomly read the same book and talked about how we could do it so much better bc that book, it was awful, and we were just laughing because if THAT person could get a publishing deal, pretty much anyone off the street could do it (it was REALLY awful, we didn’t go around saying this about books bc we didn’t think we were all that, we just knew how bad it was and it wouldn’t take much to do better). So, we were like, let’s do it and we started talking about ideas. It was the first collaboration I’ve done and never came close to being finished. She got married and had kids, I got married and had kids and the book was forgotten. But I never forgot the feeling of that creative process and how much I friggen LOVED it. How writing made me feel and the creative outlet it had given me. Fast forward to me being a stay at home mom and wanting SOMETHING for myself. I was reading, and plots were forming so I chatted several times with my old collab/college friend who I’m still friends with and she encouraged me to take the idea seriously. I finally sat my husband down and said I wanted to write a book. He could tell immediately I was serious and basically said, “Okay, well if you’re going to do that you need time to do it. So, we’ll treat it like a night job. During the day you take care of the kids. I’ll come home and take over with the kids and you’ll go upstairs and work.” So that’s what we did and that’s the ONLY way it would have gotten done. God, I love that man. <3

Author Bio:
Luna David is a true romantic at heart who was fortunate enough to find and marry her soul mate. Most of the time she considers herself lucky to have been blessed with having twins, but they’re giving her a run for her money. She’s a stay at home mom and an author, so when she’s not begging her little monsters to behave, you’ll most likely find her writing.

She loves anything book, coffee or dark chocolate related and can’t think of a better way to pass the time than to combine all three. She reads romance novels voraciously and while she prefers contemporary romantic suspense with strong Alpha males finding their soul mates, she’s a sucker for any romantic story, regardless of genre.

She created the Custos Securities Series because she loves to write what she loves to read. Her books feature strong dominant males and the men they would die protecting. Toss in some BDSM and kink and you’ve got her Catharsis Novel Series and The Boys Club Series. She loves nothing more than making her readers feel a wide range of emotions with her words. And she hopes you enjoy her stories. Happy Reading!

Release Blitz: Beholden by Kris T Bethke

Title: Beholden
Author: Kris T Bethke
Genre: M/M Romance, Paranormal
Release Date: April 14, 2018
Cover Design: Written Ink Designs
Publisher: JMS Books
Summary:
Julian Thomas made the unpopular decision to become Beholden and focus his magic only on scrying. Because of it, he's the best at his job and the top scryer for the Department of Extranormal and Magical Affairs. Which why Investigations Agent Wes Caldwell goes right to Julian for help locating a missing person.

When Wes needs to use his magic to boost Julian's, they find a magical resonance between them that quickly leads to more. Julian doesn't want to move too fast, but Wes knows Julian is it for him. He's fine with waiting, as long as Julian stays close as they work through it.

But then Julian falls ill, and it's clear there's a magical reason. Wes will stop at nothing to find out what's plaguing Julian, and when they realize just how deep the plot goes, they have more questions than answers. Magic is increasing in the world, and no one can figure out why. Julian and Wes have found love, but will it be enough to get them through what's to come?

"Better?" Wes asked eventually. "Feel more centered and focused now?"

I nodded. Then I sat back a little so I could see his face. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and tucked my fingers down the collar of his dress shirt, not wanting to lose too much contact with his skin. "Yes, thank you."

"First things first," Wes said, his voice all business and his face serious. "Are we bonded?"

I sucked in a breath, surprised he'd made that leap. But he had to know that we weren't. If we'd made a bond, even an unintentional one, he would feel the pull as much as I did. "Of course not."

He just nodded his head, like that was the answer he expected. "But you feel better when you're touching me. When you can pull on my magic to augment your own?"

I released a sigh, and couldn't quite stop myself from snuggling just a tiny bit closer. I shrugged one shoulder. "Yes. Like I said, your magic fits with mine. So it's easy and natural to use you as a source. I'm sorry about that."

He glared at me like I had said something stupid. "Don't be ridiculous. There's nothing to apologize for. It's not like you did it on purpose. Right?"

That last bit was said with just a tiny bit of accusation. I tried not to be offended. "No, I didn't do it on purpose."

Wes just squinted at me. "So then, we have to figure out what's going on with you, what's pulling on your power. Until then, you just need to stick close to me so I can keep you stable."

I gave an indignant huff. "That's hardly practical. We've both got jobs to do. You seriously can't expect us to stay in each other's pockets because I have a little sense of fatigue. You're getting a little extreme there, buddy." I tried to pull away from him but he held me fast, and gave me a look that I couldn't quite interpret.

"You've got someone else that can keep your magic and your energy up?"

"Well, no," I answered honestly. I'd never met anyone whose magic fit so well with mine. "But that doesn't mean you can just drop everything and keep me stable. That thought is just-" I cast about for a suitable word and finally settled on, "preposterous."

Wes just gave a snort, sounding amused. "I can do whatever I want. And I don't want you lying in bed barely able to function. That serves no one. So you'll just have to be 'in my pocket' until we can figure it out and fix you. There has to be some magical means at work here. And I am an Investigations Agent. I'll investigate."

His tone was playful, cajoling, and I wanted to smile, but this was too serious. We barely knew each other and, my crush notwithstanding, he couldn't just drop everything to take care of me. He wasn't making any sense.

Author Bio:
Kris T. Bethke has been a voracious reader for pretty much her entire life and has been writing stories for nearly as long. An avid and prolific daydreamer, she always has a story in her head. She spends most of her free time reading, writing, or knitting/crocheting her latest project. Her biggest desire is to find a way to accomplish all three tasks at one time. A classic muscle car will always turn her head, and naps on the weekend are one of her greatest guilty pleasures. She lives in a converted attic with a way too fluffy cat and the voices in her head. She’ll tell you she thinks that’s a pretty good deal. Kris believes that love is love, no matter the gender of people involved, and that all love deserves to be celebrated.
