We Are Not Alone
Just then the Earth rocked under our feet and Steve growled and stormed out of the room. What the hell is with him! The earth still shook out of control. Forget Steve, I need to make sure Mandi was ok.
I rushed to the door and opened it and when I did Mandi flew into my arms. I pulled her tight and closed the door. I walked us to the couch and sat down with her as we held each other while the Earth shook.
Damn, that was a long one. It must have lasted 20 minutes. Mandi rose up, with tears running down her face, she whimpers, “Jay I can’t do this. I just can’t.” I pulled her back to me and just held her while she cried, soothing her and trying to assure her everything was going to be alright.
Her sobs slowly vanished but I still held her locked to my body. She slowly raised her face to meet mine and kissed me. I kissed her back glad for the connection and the distraction from the world. She moaned and tried to pull me closer. I pulled back, “Mandi,” I whispered, “We shouldn’t.”
She pulled my head back down and whispered, “Please.” I couldn’t resist, I grounded my mouth to hers and we kissed like there was no tomorrow.
I stood and pulled her to her feet, and with her hand in mine, walked her to the bed. Once there I turned and pulled her in my arms, “Are you sure?” I asked breathlessly.
“Yes,” She answered.
It was all I needed. I once again crushed her body to mine and took her lips in a mind bending kiss. We fumbled with our clothing and eventually made it into bed. I lay beside her and took her face in my hands and kissed her so sweetly. I caressed her body and loved her fully. When we joined it was like time stood still, nothing matter, nothing but Mandi.
She fell asleep locked in my arms. I smiled, has there ever been a better feeling? I thought as I drifted off to sleep.

I nodded but I was still worried. I held Emma’s hand a little tighter. “You know until I met Mandi I had accepted the fact that I would always be alone. I was never ok with it, but I accepted it. I never had any plans of bring children into a world so full of hate and ugliness, but these last few days have shown me that the world is not ugly, its beauty just needs to be seen.” I took a deep breath. “Mandi has shown me that I can look past all the hate and corruption to see a very beautiful place, a place that I am not afraid to bring children into.” I turned to look at Dad. “I want that family now. I want the love, the children, and I want Mandi. I don’t want to be alone anymore.”

“You know you shouldn’t have done that Julie.” Lucifer said with a sneer. “God will not allow you back now. You have gone against Him. You have interfered with His plan. You have said, with your actions, that He does not know what He is doing.” Lucifer stepped closer to Julie and ran his fingers through her hair. Not once did Julie move. She will not have him see her cower.
“You are wrong.” Julie fumed. “You have always been wrong.” She shook her head. “At one time I believed that there was some good left in you. I was wrong. You are evil. If it is Jay you want then take him. Leave the others alone.” Lucifer leaned in and placed a kiss on Julie’s ear. Julie cringed on the inside.
“I believe I will.” He whispered. “I also believe I will take you as well.”
She turned to look at him. “You may take my body.” She hissed. “But you will never take my soul.” Lucifer let out a menacing laugh and gathered a handful of hair.
He pulled Julie’s head back and leaned down until their lips were touching. “You will give me whatever I demand.” He snarled.
Without flinching Julie said, “Go to Hell!” Lucifer laughed.
“Gladly…” He taunted. “And you will join me.” Lucifer took her mouth with his. This time Julie did fight back yet he was too strong. He allowed her to struggle a while longer then lifted his head.
With a smirk he said, “You are no match for me Julie. Resistance is futile I will have you, if I want you.” Julie spat in his face. Angrily he wiped it away and released her. Julie righted herself and just as Lucifer started to turn away he rounded back on her. He backhanded her across the face and Julie flew through the air.
She landed with a loud thud and touching her cheek she hissed, “You bastard! You will pay for that.” Lucifer laughed.

1. What is the biggest influence/interest that brought you to this genre?
There are many, but I will give you two. Stephen King and the fact that there are so many theories out there surrounding Aliens. I wanted to make you think and question the world around you.
2. When writing a book, what is your favorite part of the creative process(outline, plot, character names, editing, etc)?
Development. I love the way I start out thinking I know how the book will end and have the characters change it on me several times.
3. When reading a book, what genre do you find most interesting/intriguing?
It's not about the genre for me. I want a book that will draw me in and either make me question things or say hey that's me! or I know someone like that.
4. If you could co-author with any author, past or present, who would you choose?
No question about it! Either Poe or Stephen King.
5. Have you always wanted to write or did it come to you "later in life"?
It has always been a dream of mine. At the age of nine I discovered Stephen King and RL Stein books and my love grew. I could be found in my room with a book open, a pen and notebook in hand, and a pen between my toes and another notebook. Yes, I have always been weird.
