The Murderess & Betrayed By Blood by Allison West

Series: Courtesan Slave Trade #1 & 2
Author: Allison West
Genre: Dystopian, Erotica, Spanking
Publisher: Blushing Books

The Murderess
Summary:
Women that leave the royal harem, cast out by a Prince of Brayleigh, are sent into the Courtesan Slave Trade. Prince Aaron wants nothing to do with his father’s dark dealings and sinister ways. Sneaking his beloved women away each month is a tedious task and poses great risk.

With no choice but to choose a woman to leave the royal harem, Aaron needs time to think. He evades the guards and his father’s clutches on an adventure outside of the palace.

Love blossoms and danger lurks as Prince Aaron is forced to return home. Can he disrupt the Courtesan Slave Trade or will the courtesans find themselves in a fate worse than hell?

A dystopian erotic adventure featuring a kick-ass heroine and a virtuous prince.

Courtesan Slave Trade is a spin-off series featuring Prince Aaron of Gem Apocalypse by Ravyn Rayne. This book begins two days before The Emerald Virgin. It can be read as a stand-alone but will be enjoyed even more by those that have read The Gem Apocalypse saga.

Betrayed by Blood
Summary:
When Aaron discovers his father, King Gideon, and brother, Prince August, are still alive and a verdict for treason to come within a few days, Aaron has no choice but to infiltrate the palace, no matter the cost. Forced to align himself with the rebel leader Rhys, Aaron and Lorelei must return to the palace to seek justice and protect the crumbling nation of Brayleigh. Will she be loved by all who know of her as the murderess or feared for her deadly sins?

Unwilling to let Rhys take command of the country, Aaron will have to become the prince he was destined to be and rise in power to overthrow the new regime. Will Aaron be able to stop Rhys from his rise of power and end the slave trade once and for all? Will Lorelei find herself assimilated as part of the rebel movement or an enemy of the people?

Betrayed by Blood is the riveting conclusion to the Courtesan Slave Trade series and a spin-off of the Gem Apocalypse series.

The Murderess
To love is to destroy oneself or that which you love. Happiness is a mere memory in times of anguish. There were days Prince Aaron despised his father, the king of Brayleigh. He was a force of nature, like a hurricane that swept in and stole the women he desired. No prince could deny the king a courtesan of his own, even if it meant losing one of his girls.
Aaron had learned how the game had been played. Every month he'd been forced to give up a love to acquire a virgin. Perhaps if he didn't fall so hard every time, it would be easier.
The monthly festival always came quick, and with less than two days to choose who would leave the palace, Aaron felt his heart pulsate and his stomach tense. There were many decisions he could make, but forcing a woman he had loved away was a horrendous task to ask of anyone. Every month he swore not to fall for another virgin that offered herself to him, but she would always be appealing and interested, making him desire her even more.
He needed time away from the palace. With twelve gorgeous courtesans that gave him everything he could desire, who would he send away? He tried not to think about the life they'd be subjected to. It wasn't a secret that the women weren't sent home to their families. The Courtesan Slave Trade had prospered tremendously and the thought made Aaron physically ill. Most courtesans found themselves subject to the black market, traded as a slave for the most affluent buyer, unless other arrangements were made. His girls deserved a better send off.
For months he'd been forced against his wishes to choose a courtesan to leave the palace. Though difficult, he'd chosen the older and least desirable to him, preferring young virgin women. He'd snuck the girls out during the night, helping aide in their escape. They deserved to be happy. If King Gideon ever discovered what Aaron had been up to, the punishment would be atrocious. Aaron would have to make sure no one said a word. He could trust his older brother James, but August would take any chance he had to get on his father's good side. Aaron didn't know how Henry would react. His brothers all enjoyed the monthly allotment of women and the royal harem.
Aaron slipped out of the room, leaving Celeste sound asleep on his bed. He needed someplace to think and that wasn't in the palace with the girls sucking up so that they wouldn't be
sent away. Didn't they know he'd spare their life? He had assured them that their future with him was always safe and secure, whether he was their prince or lover.
He trudged down the stairwell, a pair of keys in his hands. He made it to the bottom of the stairs, and with his hand on the door, he caught sight of his father at the opposite end of the hall.
"Shit," he cursed under his breath, unable to get away without being seen. It wasn't as though he didn't have permission to leave freely, however, it had been frowned upon. If he wanted to leave the palace, he needed to take a driver and a guard or two with him. Aaron wanted neither of those to accompany him on his journey. Drivers and guards couldn't keep secrets. He'd learned that in the past and wasn't going to make the same distinctive mistake again.
"Where are you off to?" King Gideon asked, strolling across the marble floor. He paused directly in front of Aaron, waiting to hear his answer.
Aaron shoved the keys into his pocket, hoping his father hadn't noticed. "Does it matter?" He'd always walked a fine line of obeying his father and doing what he felt was right.
"I asked you a question," his father said. The king's tone was short and abrupt, reminding Aaron that he was not yet in charge.
Aaron knew he'd never be king, and he'd grown accustomed to that fact and had been fine with it. He recognized that he didn't have to be king to change the world. Not that he felt it needed a lot of changing, just bits and pieces. He didn't agree with how his father handled the disposal of courtesans.      They were people not trash. Did he not realize that, or more likely he just didn't care.
"Out," Aaron said. "I need to think." He also had to make the arrangements for transporting the courtesan out of the palace without drawing suspicion. It didn't happen without intricate planning.
"Don't waste too much of your time among those outside," Gideon said. "We drew walls around our home for a reason."
Aaron breathed out through his nostrils, trying to remain calm. He restrained himself from shooting an insult that would get him belted by his father.
"Of course, Father," Aaron said. He brushed by the king of Brayleigh and made a swift exit outside for the car.
From the corner of his gaze, Aaron caught sight of movement along the side of the vehicles, ducking just below the window not to be seen. Whoever it was hadn't done a great job of hiding. Had a guard been assigned to him on protective detail? Aaron could lose whoever followed him. It wouldn't be the first time he'd escaped the men from the palace. He knew they'd be too ashamed to admit defeat to his father, which made the challenge into a game for Aaron. How quickly could he lose the guards that followed the vehicle he drove?
With the keys in hand, he approached the door to the silver sports car and the handle automatically unlocked. Aaron climbed into the front seat and pressed the button on the dashboard to roll down the top of the vehicle. The sun shined and the air felt warm enough to enjoy the fact it was a convertible.      The car had some age but it barely passed as an antique. His father would have a fit if he knew which car Aaron took. Why keep it if no one would drive it though? Perhaps with a heavy ounce of permission and a driver, Aaron would have been able to sit in the passenger seat, top up.
Aaron had been given driving lessons but that had been more out of sheer curiosity. His father had no knowledge of the instructions or practice trips to the black market with the driver. The lesson had been a secret gift, but for what reason? Aaron recognized people could be nice, but they never gave without wanting something later in return, even if it was a favor. As a prince of Brayleigh, he had to be careful what he promised.
Aaron started the engine and slowly lurched forward, waiting for the exit at the gate allowing him to leave. From the rearview mirror, he watched a dark blue sedan pull out from the parking lot. The only cars on the premises were those owned by the royal family.
Without a doubt, Aaron watched the guard follow him from the palace. He inched forward through the gate and then pressed the pedal down to the floor, speeding away from the palace onto the paved road. There were a few roads that were kept in moderate condition for the royal family. Most had been abandoned, much like cars.
Aaron hugged the curves of the road, refusing to slow as the road winded farther from the palace.
"Where are we heading?" a soft feminine voice asked, popping herself up from the almost non-existent backseat. There wasn't much room. She laid on the seat, a black blanket covering her, blending into the seat.
His eyes widened and heart leapt as he glanced back at the blonde haired, blue eyed beauty.
"What the hell are you doing, Celeste?" Aaron asked.
"I wanted to be with you," she said. "You always sneak off from the palace, and I thought you wouldn't mind the company. Where are we going?"

Office spankings, lust potions, and fiery romance combine in this romantic erotica.

Grave Misfortune
Summary:
Married to a gambler and drunk, Helene is the madam for a brothel, where she looks after her girls and services the clientele. When Vincent, a royal guard from the palace, arrives at her doorstep and tries to defend her honor, little does he know she’s both married to the man and a Madam for the establishment. Could things get any more awkward?

Hours later, a fire breaks out, putting her life and the girl’s that live with her in danger. Who would wish to set fire to the brothel? Going home to the cottage with her husband hardly seems a viable option. Vincent invites her to court, but can she handle what is in store for her? Not used to taking orders, Helene will have to learn to submit to Vincent, in order to protect her.

Hot-Blooded Lust
“Anytime you want to climb on that pole again, Kai, I’m game.” Joel grinned. Wiping that smile off his face seemed near impossible. He’d been teasing me about it since the moment I climbed on top of the bar and danced.

“You’re never going to let me live it down, are you?” I actually didn’t mind, not that I’d tell Joel. My cheeks burned remembering that night. Although I was just doing my job, I knew how turned on it made him. If it weren’t for the fact we were in a bar on duty, I’d have given him a lap dance. Joel’s tongue would have probably hung out of his mouth. Being an FBI Agent was tough work, most of the time. The few moments where I could have some fun and let loose, why shouldn’t I?

Joel’s lips trailed a soft path of kisses across my jaw. I curled beneath the sheets of his mattress. “Joel, we can’t.” Though I wanted to, I wasn’t quite comfortable with it. The reason had nothing to do with him being my boss. We were over that. “Your kids are in the next room and the walls are thin.”

“They’re asleep.”

I laughed. “Yeah, for now. You’re loud. There is no way it won’t wake them up. The neighbors at my place give me slack when I run into them getting the mail.”

Joel whined and reached for my hip, pulling me against him. “Then why did you insist on sneaking over? You’re such a tease.”

“I am not!” I playfully shoved his chest. I tried my best to keep my voice down to a minimum. It’s not that I didn’t like his kids, I just thought it was too early for us to be doing weekends together. Which is why I opted to sneak over after they were in bed. I didn’t think ahead to the fact that we’d have to keep our voices down and that Joel was a loud moaner during sex. Not that I was particularly quiet, but he had the tendency to make sure everyone could hear us.

“Want to play a game?” he asked. His thumb stroked my hip, inching my shirt as the pads of his fingers grazed bare skin.

“Like Monopoly?” I wasn’t in the mood for board games.

Joel leaned his head forward, chuckling softly. He reached for me, brushing his lips against mine. I dragged my fingers into his dark, thick hair. “I had something more adult in mind.”

“Oh?” My hands paused their ministrations, trying to image what Joel would have thought up. He struck me more as a strip poker kind of guy, but we were already half-naked. Where was the fun in that? Joel climbed out of bed and headed for his closet. I whimpered in protest. “Where are you going? I’m right here.”

“I know a game that will be fun for both of us.” He brought one of his work ties out from the closet.

“If you’re planning on tying me to the bed, you know we have handcuffs for that.”

“No need. Unless of course you’re naughty. Close your eyes,” he said, and I did so, feeling the tie cover my eyes as he secured it at the back of my head. I was blindfolded. This was new for us.

My heart skipped a beat. I trusted Joel, but it still made me nervous. “What do you plan on doing?” I asked.

“Kai, you complained that I’m loud when we have sex. I’m going to make sure that you’re the one making all the noises. Better keep your voice down, I’m not sure I locked the bedroom door.”

Grave Misfortune
“Come with me.” Vincent’s tone is sharp and short. “You broke the rules, Helene. There are consequences for not following orders.” He grabs me by the elbow and whisks me into a nearby room, kicking the door shut behind us.

I slip from his grasp as he blocks my exit. Consequences? Is he out of his mind? I should have known not to trust him and come to court. Not that I felt there was much choice but I could have lied to the king or told him I had a husband to stay with. It might have begged more questions but those I could have skirted.
“Let me go!”

“Not until you’ve been taken over my knee.”

I scoff at his words. He’s not serious. “What are you going to do, spank me?” I’m half-joking. Rowland wasn’t a prince but he never would have had the strength to discipline me.

How much do you write per day?
My goal is 6k words a day. Somedays I can get that done in three hours. Other days it takes 8 or 9 hours to write that amount.

What are you favorite genres to read?
I love romantic erotica, dystopian (YA or adult), and some fantasy.

Are you self published?
Nope. I’m published with Blushing Books, Lazy Day Publishing, and Booktrope.

What else do you like to do besides write?
I love photography, reading, traveling, watching television, blogging, and making book swag.

What sport are you good at?
I used to be good at bowling. I bowled on my high school team and on our college campus in a league for fun.

What show on television are you most looking forward to that’s debuting this season?
Good question! There’s two shows I’m really excited about watching. Quantico and Shadowhunters. My days are spent writing and nights are spent relaxing to television or hanging out with friends.

Do you have a favorite board game?
Settlers of Catan and Pandemic. I love both of them equally.

Which do you prefer: Kindle or paperback?
Lately I’ve been reading on my kindle. It’s easy to download, I can get samples set to my device, and I don’t have to wait for a book to ship. I do have trouble remembering to charge the Kindle though!

Maiden Claimed & The Sapphire Sacrifice by Ravyn Rayne

Maiden Claimed
Summary:
It was supposed to be a simple trip to the market in Paris.

Nothing for Lady Hannah is ever simple.

One secret after another.

The lies are mounting up.

Lady Hannah has made a deal with the devil. Worse she’s falling in love with him. There’s no turning back.

A steamy medieval romance filled with spankings and erotic pleasures.

The Sapphire Sacrifice
Summary:
A virus designed to murder Sapphire’s.

No one from Brayleigh saw it coming.

Neither James nor Aria expected four men in a deserted city to attack. Thrown into the back of a van, James is captured by claimers – men that hunt Sapphire’s and bring them into quarantine, where they must settle their debt for treatment. Those that can’t pay off their debt are held in the broker’s quarters until they’re bought by angels, often resulting in slavery, hunting humans, and a host of other horrendous atrocities.

Aria is different. She’s naturally immune, or so she’s told. On a mission to rescue James, she finds herself in danger and quickly learns the power of friendship, commitment, and undying love.

With a taste of age play, spanking, and a master/slave relationship with voyeurism, this dystopian erotic adventure is sure to leave you satisfied.

Palace Secrets Series
Maiden Claimed #2
Waiting outside the bathhouse, a gentleman, with honey-golden hair and eyes as green as the blades of grass on a summer’s day, stops in front of me. He looks me over and smiles. His face is covered in scruff and dirt licks his skin. “I approve.”

There’s an arrogance surrounding this man, and I have the urge to silence him.

“You approve of what?” I ask and cross my arms defensively. My eyes narrow, unpleased.

“I approve of you joining me in the bathhouse. Though I admit you look pretty clean already. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised.” He reaches out to touch a strand of my blonde hair and I swat his fingers away and force his arm down to his side.

“You’ve lost your mind.” My grip on his wrist is forceful, showing him who’s boss.

“What do you think you’re doing?” he asks, glancing down at my hand still holding his wrist.

Palace Secrets #1
“Make a sound and you’ll get another spanking,” Alexander says. His tone is firm but light. Unlike the last time, he doesn’t sound angry or disappointed with me. Is this how our lovemaking will be?

I’m both aroused and craving more of Alexander’s affection. I bury my face into the pillow, trying my best not to make any noise. I moan quietly as his lashings grow harder, burning against my skin, making me wet. I’m glad Alexander’s attention is on me. There’s something about his power and control that fires me up inside. Is he doing this to teach me a lesson for being naughty or to arouse me?

“No, Hannah.” Alexander’s answer is both quick and abrupt. “I’m the only one in charge.

Maybe I should spank you both regularly for sneaking around the castle, behind my back. Would that make sure it doesn’t happen again?” Alexander lets his hand land hard on my bottom. The sting grows fierce and I whimper in protest. When will his spankings turn to sex? He offered it to me the last time and I rejected him. It had been the only amount of control that I’d been given. Tonight, I would give him everything, and if he asked me to beg, I would.

Gem Apocalypse Series
The Sapphire Sacrifice #3
"Leave, Aria." His voice stern and filled with warning. He didn't sound like himself.

She wouldn't listen to him. She couldn't. Did he not realize how much he meant to her?

"I have a gun," Aria whispered, staring at James. It was her last shred of hope.

James stopped pacing and walked straight up to the glass, staring at her with dark blue
eyes. "Shoot me."

Aria's eyes widened. "No! I won't do it."

Five Questions with James (a character interview for The Gem Apocalypse series)
Of all the places you’ve lived, what is your favorite?
That’s a tough question to answer. I loved Brayleigh, before the uprising. I know it wasn’t a perfect society, but I was happy. It will always be my home as I have fond memories of my childhood growing up at the royal palace.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Give me bacon! It’s hard to come by but I absolutely love it.

You’ve had you’re share of women at the royal harem. Any aside from Aria that you’ve loved?
I’ve loved all the women I’ve invited into my home. Who’s to say you can’t love everyone?

Do you prefer dominating or being dominated?
I love to spank Aria. So yes, I prefer to dominate my partner.

Would you ever let Aria spank you?
I wouldn’t bend over and let her spank me, but she can certainly try. I like to remain in charge.

What can we expect next from you?
About twice a month, you can anticipate a new release! In September, I’ve got Hot-Blooded Lust (Federal Agent Chronicles 3) and Grave Misfortune (Palace Secrets 3) coming out. In October, The Murderess, the first in the Courtesan Slave Trade series will be available.

What book are you writing right now?
Well, it’s currently untitled. (I have a few working titles but I’m not sure any of them fit it perfectly). It’s a romantic dystopian erotica with a very edgy twist.

When do you typically decide the title for a book?
After the book is written or perhaps when it’s about 2/3rd’s completed. By then I’m usually writing up the book blurb at the same time and working on the title or series name.

“Hey!” Aria shouted, not that it did anything to stop their fighting.

“Enough!” James’s voice echoed in the confined space.

The men let go of one another and stood, dusting off the dirt caked to their skin.

A gentleman with red hair and blue eyes stepped toward Aria. He’d been one of the three fighting, a crewmember on the ship. “Do you know what they’re having us do?” he asked.

“No,” Aria said, glancing back at the die lying on the floor. Aria rolled the large die slightly with her hand. It stood up to her waist in height, though it felt lighter than it looked. She’d never seen a die quite so large. Who made it?

“The festival tonight is entertainment for the commander and the tribe. She’s choosing two from the pit and they’ll have to do whatever the die says.”

Aria swallowed nervously as she further examined the giant die. One side showed two people battling with swords. Aria frowned, turning the die onto another side, it revealed a pictograph of two men with guns in a shoot-out. That wouldn’t end well for someone. Her heart skipped a beat, and she rolled the die onto another side, covering her lips in surprise. Was that a paddle? Her cheeks burned and she took a step back from the die.

James didn’t appear nearly as affected as Aria from the news. He stepped forward, resting his hand on her lower back. “Do we know who has been elected for the festival?”

Kali shook her head. “The commander chooses two worthy opponents from the pit of invaders and mainlanders. Seeing as how the mainlanders have assimilated or died,” Kali said, clearing her throat, “it’s safe to say that one of you that has not been chosen by a tribe member, will be selected.”

The hum of the engine died, and Aria heard the scream of unfamiliar words in a language she didn’t recognize. Shots were fired in every direction forcing her to duck, throwing herself onto the floor of the ship.

James lay right beside her, covering Aria with his body, shielding her from danger. She didn’t have the courage to ask what happened.

The warmth and security Aria felt from James vanished. A man covered in tattoos, his arms a canvas of ink, grabbed James by the arm and dragged him across the room. The second man accompanying him lifted Aria from the floor and escorted her up the stairwell. James walked just a few feet in front. The man dropped his hold on her as the passageway narrowed. A gun pressed into her back, a constant reminder of danger. Aria couldn’t fight without risking her life. She hoped these men would steal what goods they came for and then leave.

Forced outside, the lifeboats were just a few feet away.

The sun began to set, and the sky twinkled like a sapphire without a cloud in the heavens.

Even at dusk, beads of sweat trickled against Aria’s forehead. Her black shirt stuck to her back, the cargo pants she wore were too hot for this climate. She didn’t dare ask where they were; she didn’t believe anyone would answer.

They were forced against the wall. Would the lifeboats even float anymore? The old luxury cruise liner’s paint faded from years of sun exposure. What would it have been like fifty years ago, before the devastation and destruction that their parents created, taking a luxury cruise? She would never know. The Gem Apocalypse had resulted in a war with only survivors, no heroes.

“Move!” the man behind Aria said. His gun dug further into her back, and she pushed forward on James’s heels. “Down!”

They got down onto the ground with the other crew and passengers. Six men towered over them with guns. Aria was unfamiliar with the weapons, as they were larger than the ones the guards carried at the palace.

“We’ll be okay,” James said as he sat beside Aria, reaching for her hand.

Aria wanted to ask him how he could know that without a doubt. Hope shrank like a beacon of light fading in the distance. These men were thieves. She could smell the treachery and greed from where she sat. How did they end up here?
