Survival #1
Summary:
With intertwining memories and a world of deceit and betrayal yet to be exposed, Survival, book #1 in the Twisted series, is an intense, compelling page-turner, seen through the eyes of Skye 'the Skillet' Jones.
A mother. A father. Two daughters and a son. A happy suburban family of five.
An alcoholic mother. An absent father.
Abandonment. A family ripped apart.
Oliver. Beautiful Oliver. My twin brother, my protector.
Fighting. Freedom. Death.
Cut Throat Curtis. My fire and ice. My light and shade. My pleasure and pain.
He taught me to fight; to control emotional turmoil with physical distraction. He had pain of his own, secrets he would never reveal, and I should have known it would only be a matter of time until he left, becoming a ghost in a life I no longer knew.
Thomas. My magic. My fairy-tale. The man who promised the happy ever after I’d never dared to dream of. My prince. My lover. My everything and more.
But fate was waiting, as always. The merciless force of kismet watched over me, biding its time, waiting to strike; to plunge me into the depths of defeat and leave me with no choice but to succumb.
It was coming, the twist of fate that would bring me to my knees. It was up to me, Skye the Skillet, to decide whether to bow down and surrender to its will, or fight back, to fight for what I had left.
To fight for my survival…
Revival #2
Summary:
With explosive suspense and dark sensuality, Revival, book #2 in the Twisted series, is a passionate, riveting tale of power, conflict and dangerous desire, told by Cut Throat Curtis Mason.
I was a failure. An orphan. A quitter. A heartbreaker. A screw-up. A criminal. A monster.
The life I was imprisoned in was the life I deserved.
Ollie’s death shredded my tenacity, chipped away at my confidence and stole the will to fight out from under me. When the toxic worthlessness swimming through my veins made me reject the only girl I’d ever loved, she took the rest of my life with her.
Alone, away from home and emotionally desolate, I was propelled into a life of greed, control and crime when fate played a hand and forced mine into the clutches of Charlie Alexander Tattersell. My vixen. My poison. My villainous addiction.
I fought for and against the life that held me captive, but one painful reminder returned to haunt me.
I was the only one who knew the truth.
Skye’s truth. My love. My driving force. My life’s obsession.
After enlisting the help of my protΓ©gΓ©, Jesse ‘the Gentleman’ Kennedy, the mission began.
I had to find answers, retribution and the spark that would release me from the claws of the abyss and bring me one step closer to the Skillet.
With new secrets waiting around every corner, a vicious Charlie waiting to bury me and the haunting memories of every mistake I’d ever made hanging over me, I missed one vital clue.
The key to my revival…

Survival Deleted Scene
I loved fighting. I loved everything it represented and everything it did to my body and mind. There was no losing in the ring. Sure, they tallied up your stats, and your wins, losses and KOs decided how much of a decent fighter you were, but I didn’t give a shit about that. You couldn’t lose by stepping through the doors of a cage, even if you were knocked to the floor and pissed your pants as you lost consciousness. You couldn’t lose – it was impossible because you’d won before the bell rang. By stepping into the ring, you proved you were strong. You proved you had the courage and bravery to face the unknown. You proved that you were a fighter and that moved far beyond the fists that you held up to show you were ready. You wouldn’t give up, you wouldn’t quit, and that…that made you a winner.
“You ready, son?”
Geoff patted me on the shoulder as I stared out at the crowd from behind the curtain. The audience were ready, so I was ready. I had one shot, one chance, tonight, to get us out for good. I knew I could win this; I’d fought Jackson Garrett before and while he made me tap out with a leg lock and I’d cursed myself for days following the fight, I realised that was my advantage. The number on my stats card. One loss. He thought he had my weakness down; I knew he’d go for the leg again and I’d be ready for him. Skye’s future was riding on this fight and by God, the Juggernaut would save his sister from a weed-infested flat in a moulding, crumbling tower block.
“I’m ready,” I said, turning to Geoff for my final check.
I hadn’t seen Curtis yet. He wasn’t at the table reserved for him, and I had to just trust he’d be there when it was time. He’d taught me everything, given me this chance for a new life and I was going to take it. Maybe he’d come with us. Maybe we could all get out.
I trusted he’d be there. I needed him there. I needed to come out thirty thousand pounds better off.
Failure wasn’t an option. The music began, whatever the DJ had chosen to get the crowd riled up.
“Deep breaths…clenched fists…deep breaths…clenched fists.”
I took deep breaths. In. Out. In. Out. I gripped my chain before slipping it over my head and handing it to Geoff.
It was time to focus. Zone out. Push away the pain and ignore the unknown fate that awaited me when I left the cage. All that mattered now was the fight. The freedom.
I stepped out from behind the curtain and left Oliver behind. Juggernaut Jones would do whatever it took to save his sisters.
Deep breaths, clenched fists.
Ring the bell.
Ding, ding, ding.
