Ted Allan (1916-1995) was a playwright, actor, screenwriter, novelist, and biographer. A dedicated Young Communist, Allan's works include "This Time a Better Earth" (1939) and "Love Is a Long Shot" (1984), which won the Stephen Leacock Award.
