Accepting the Fall by Meg Harding

Title: Accepting the Fall
Author: Meg Harding
Genre: M/M Romance
Release Date: June 8,2017
Cover Design: Black Jazz Design
Summary:
Confronting the past is never easy.

Cole Whitaker is happy. He has the job and boyfriend he always wanted. His heart’s in no danger of being broken, and he can’t ask for more from life. As a kindergarten teacher, he sees it all; however, one troublesome student has him reaching out to the parent, wanting to help. There’s something about Savanah that tugs at his heartstrings.

He never expected her father.

Zander Brooks hasn’t had an easy life, and he’s made some mistakes. Freshly retired from the military and working as a firefighter, Zander thought he’d left Cole in the rearview mirror. He’s not expecting him to appear in St. Petersburg, Florida, of all places, teaching his daughter’s kindergarten class. Suddenly, his biggest mistake is being shoved in his face.

This is Zander’s chance to close a door he’d never fully shut, but time with his former flame might change his mind.

Past lovers reunited, a trope that is often filled with unresolved sexual tension, well Accepting the Fall is definitely packed full of UST.  Cole Whitaker has moved on from his first love that broke his heart, he has a lovely boyfriend and a teaching career that brings happiness and safety to his life.  Zander Brooks lived the life that his father brought him up to want, he was satisfied in said life until he discovers he has a daughter, he changed his life to give his child stability and a home.  That little girl, Savanah, changes both Cole and Zander's lives forever.

Accepting the Fall may not be a scenario that happens very often but it is a tale that definitely could happen.  For me, it's that possibility that brings this book to life, there isn't a character in it that couldn't be your next door neighbor.  Personally, I could see where the author was taking the story but that didn't take any of the enjoyment away.  Accepting is one of those tales where the fun, the passion, and the story is in the journey not the destination.

Accepting the Fall is a well written tale that will warm your heart one minute, break your heart the next, warm it again a few pages later, and all the while you want to bang Cole and Zander's heads together.  I highly recommend checking out this tale of passion, friendship, family, and love.

RATING:

Author Bio:
Meg Harding is a graduate of UCF, and recently completed a masters program for Publishing in the UK. For as long as she can remember, writing has always been her passion, but she had an inability to ever actually finish anything. She’s immensely happy that her inability has fled and looks forward to where her mind will take her next. She’s a sucker for happy endings, the beach, and superheroes. In her dream life she owns a wildlife conservation and is surrounded by puppies. She’s a film buff, voracious reader, and a massive geek.
