Title: Thrax
Author: Christina Bauer
Series: Angelbound Origins #4
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy
Release Date: June 27, 2017
Publisher: Monster Health Books

Summary:
Myla Lewis has married Prince Lincoln, and now they’re expecting! All the after-realms rejoice. Myla should be happy too, but she has a serious problem. The day after their honeymoon ended, Myla’s real husband disappeared.

The man who’s sharing her bed is an imposter.

Myla tries explaining about “Evil Lincoln,” but no one will listen. The reason? People think that Myla’s supernatural pregnancy is making her cray cray. Mostly because that’s what Evil Lincoln is telling everyone, and that man’s a great liar. What a creep.

There’s no way Myla will take this lying down, though. She’s going to rescue her man, and she has a pretty good idea where he’s being held. With her best friend, Cissy, along to help, Myla sneaks off to Earth. All she has to do is blend in with the humans, avoid Evil Lincoln, and find her real man before the baby arrives. How hard can it be?

What is the biggest influence/interest that brought you to this genre?
Like many writers for young adults, I had a pretty sucktastic youth. So part of me is always trapped in that age range, for good and bad. When I was a teen, the Lord of the Rings really helped me survive. Literally. In particular, I loved how Frodo was just a regular guy who was given a horrible burden, but our hobbit hero never gave up. That meant a lot to me. As a result, I write YA Fantasy because I imprinted on it, more or less.

When writing a book, what is your favorite part of the creative process(outline, plot, character names, editing, etc)?
My favorite part is sharing my work with readers. The rest is a tough slog, but when someone says they enjoyed my work or it made them smile…then it’s all worth it!!!

When reading a book, what genre do you find most interesting/intriguing?
I read a lot of paranormal romance, sci-fi-romance and contemporary romance. These days, I’ve been obsessed with the ‘Mars needs women’ trope.

If you could co-author with any author, past or present, who would you choose?
God. I’d really like to take some of those odd lines out of the bible. People get bizarre ideas out of a random phrase here or there. I mean, just because you’re divine doesn’t mean you couldn’t stand a little editing.

Have you always wanted to write or did it come to you "later in life"?
I wanted to write since age six. My aunt was my author and personal hero.
