Color My Christmas by Natalie-Nicole Bates

Title: Color My Christmas
Author: Natalie-Nicole Bates
Genre: Contemporary Holiday Romance
Release Date: November 11, 2015
Publisher: Books ToGo Now
Summary:
After an unfortunate incident, Dr. Timothy Martin’s career as a surgeon is in tatters. Unable to cope with the changes in his life, his mother insists he visit Meggie Marie, a woman she says can perform miracles with her alternative therapy.

Timothy is reluctant, but maybe Meggie is his last chance to heal.

When he sees Meggie, he is intrigued by the eccentric woman with vibrant red hair, who wears tie-dye and flower headbands. When he gets to know her, she becomes something else to him – hope, joy, and maybe even love.

But is Meggie for real, or is she simply providing him with her special brand of therapy?

With Christmas just around the corner, has Timothy found his Christmas miracle, or is Meggie’s motive something darker waiting to be discovered?

She walked to the window and turned back to him. “Come here, Timothy, I want to show you something.”

He got up from the couch, quite curious. It was dark outside now, and the main street below was still in full swing. People walked up and down the street. Each store was brightly lit, and gaily decorated in festive colors.

“Look at that, Timothy.” She stood so close, he could hear her gentle breath, and feel the heat from her body. “This is Christmas. This is life.”

He placed his hand on the icy window. Perhaps it was time to let go of what he couldn’t change, and embrace what was still real. If he was strong enough to do it. He stole a glance at Meggie who stared with delight at the hustle and bustle below. Maybe with this woman by his side, he could very well pull himself back from the depths of hell and rejoin the living.

Between his long work hours, he knew that it was twelve hundred cobblestones between his shop and the town square. Getting around town with little assistance and work was all he needed, or that's what he thought until he met Aubri.

Come for a fun filled holiday ride across the German countryside to see if Aubri and Ryker find that being out your comfort zone can also bring you love.

Christmas and Strudel
“Since we’re being truthful, I’m not beautiful…so, sorry to disappoint you.”

“Are you kidding me? The last thing I am is disappointed. You’re funny, smart, and know lots about your company and your business. You’re right, I can only tell that you have dark hair, a big fluffy scarf, and soft hands. I can’t picture someone until I can imagine their face.”

“How do you imagine them?”

Ryker drew his glove slowly off his hand and scooted close. “I can only imagine someone’s face if I touch it. Can I touch yours?”

“Yes.” She nodded.

He cupped her cheek. Gently, like the brush of a butterfly’s wing, he drew his index finger over her eyebrow, across her eye, cheek and then down across her lips. He continued slowly up the other side as though he was mapping each inch. His touch was one of the most stirring and sensual things Aubri had ever felt.

He smiled faintly. “Now, I know what you look like…and you lied, you are beautiful.”

In Love with Paris
One of the airport gift shops displayed the New York Times latest book releases and my favorite romance author, Susan Couple’s, Love Comes for the Holidays sat front and center of the rack. The hardcover displayed a large Christmas tree filled with lights, ornaments and a breathtakingly gorgeous couple kissing in front of a fireplace. I grabbed a copy and clutched it to my chest and rushed to counter. As the clerk rang up the book, I added a large bag of M&M’s. What could be better than chocolate and a good romance novel? Susan Couple would probably say a sexy man, but there was a shortage of those in my life.

That’s when it hit me, the woman that got out of that rude man’s car looked exactly like the photo on the back cover of Love Comes for the Holidays. Sharp, silver-blue eyes stared out from her chiseled, small oval face topped with short, spiky jet-black hair. Holy cripes, Susan Couple was here at the airport.

As I turned with the book still clutched to my chest and I bumped into a wall, well not a wall, but a solid mass of muscle that smelled of some wonderful, smoky, exotic scent. He gently grabbed my shoulders but he didn’t let go when I looked up into his enchanted, lash-fringed, green eyes. His perfectly chiseled jaw looked like something Michelangelo would have carved himself.

Pardon.” His sultry, rich, baritone voice made my stomach flutter.

If I stepped two inches closer I’d be wrapped in his strong arms. I immediately stepped back. What was I thinking? This gorgeous guy was a complete stranger.

Christmas in Tuscany
“A fascinating beautiful woman you are, Erika.” He moved his chair to sit beside her and then reached for her hand. He lifted it to his lips and left a gentle kiss. “I’ve waited for the woman of my dreams to appear and here you are.” His words definitely confirmed her suspicion of a mutual attraction. Unless, she wondered; his words were part of an act to get her into his bed. Her promise to hold off a relationship until she found the one she’d spend her life with was suddenly filed at the back of her brain. Even if this turned out to be a fling, it would remain as memorable as the wine tour. She nervously chuckled.

“I bet you say that to all the girls.”

He joined her laughter. “That didn’t come out quite the way I’d expected. It wasn’t an attempt to get you into my bed. Trust me. I’m not that guy. That would be my brother.”

Darn! I was just imagining how great a lover you’d be.

Twice as Nice Christmas
I still can’t believe what I’ve shared with this man I’ve only known for less than a week. Yet it seems we’ve been together for the ages. Maybe there really is something to past lives, and those lives and the people from them intersecting with the present. Or perhaps that’s all just whimsy, and our meeting was Fate, or merely chance.

All I know for sure is I am happy that we did meet. Then that little voice in my head tells me to not get attached to Damyan. That any time now we will separate and all that will remain are the memories. I know that’s what I wanted, but now, I’m not sure. I’ve never met such a kind and decent man. I will be reluctant to leave him behind.

But oh what a vacation he has given to me so far, and though we’ve not spoken about Christmas, I’m hoping we’ll spend it together – maybe even both celebrations. The traditional December 25 date, and the January 7 Orthodox Christmas.

How totally divine! Christmas celebrated two times. Twice as nice!

Eve of All Hallows by Natalie-Nicole Bates

Title: Eve of All Hallows
Author: Natalie-Nicole Bates
Genre: Paranormal Romance Novella
Release Dates: October 17, 2015(Publisher) December 17, 2015(Amazon)
Summary:
As Jamie travels the world in search of fulfillment, she arrives in Majorca the day before Halloween. Almost immediately, she realizes all is not what it seems. There are no tourists, and everyone is just a bit -- different. She meets a local tattooist named Carlito, a native of Peru. The attraction is instantaneous and intense. He makes her an unbelievable offer. But whether it means heaven or horror, she is not sure. When the Eve of All Hallows meets All Saints Day only Fate can decide the outcome.

I think I will enjoy my time here.

Very much.

I’m taking in that magnificent view while I swirl a glass of red wine. Sometimes a girl gets lucky. It’s well past midnight now, but I can’t sleep. Beyond the beauty of my surroundings, of the warmth on my skin this late in the year, is the sound of the sea. I am truly alone in my own little nirvana. No one knows where I am, and I don’t care.

There’s a flash of movement from the corner of my eye. Maybe I’m not as alone as I thought. My heart flutters a little. Then I see him walking the beach towards the water, under the great moon above. My magnificent view just got even more spectacular. He’s fully naked.

My attention is riveted now as I sip my wine. I can’t see a lot of detail in the darkness, but I can see he is tall, with long hair. Nicely built, and if my eyes don’t deceive me, well-endowed as well. Now, this is a very interesting development.

I watch as he enters the water, and I shiver just a little as if my own skin was touched by the cool waters. He disappears momentarily beneath the dark sea, and emerges, throwing back his long hair. I know I should look away, I should respect his privacy, but I cannot. I am a voyeur in my own little world.

I’m not really sure how much time I spend watching him. Perhaps only a few minutes, maybe even an hour. He emerges from the waves, a mere silhouette now in the moonlight. He stops and looks straight to me. My first reaction is to want to drop to the floor. But my mind tells me he cannot see me in the darkness.

So, if he cannot see me, why does he stare in my direction?

Everything Anise by Natalie-Nicole Bates

Title: Everything Anise
Author: Natalie-Nicole Bates
Genre: F/F Paranormal Romance
Release Date: October 7, 2015
Publisher: Torquere Press
Summary:
A Victorian-era vampire living in the modern world, Emigh Bennett’s favorite activity is watching people from the window of her little bookshop. When she spots a woman nearly killed on the street outside her shop, she rushes to her rescue, and she meets Anise.

The proprietress of a little home business called “Everything Anise”, Anise crafts one of a kind perfumes all with a touch of her namesake spice, all with the power to intoxicate and delight the senses. She is smart, sexy, beautiful, and happens to be a little bit different.

Although Anise is everything Emigh could ever ask for and more, she can’t quite figure her out.  Anise possesses the duality of an innocent angel and a vivacious vixen. Even if Emigh can ever peel away the multi layers of Anise to uncover the truth beneath, what will happen when she finally reveals the truth about herself?

For the first time in…hell, it must be years, Emigh’s life felt bright and vibrant. Meeting Anise was the dawning of a new day. The lift she needed for so long.

She dared to pick up the phone that first night and call Anise. To hear that special kind of something in her voice as they spoke. To talk about everything and anything…well, not everything. She didn’t broach the subject of her sexuality – well, maybe not hers, she knew that, but Anise’s. As a matter of fact, Anise spoke of neither male nor female friends.

Anise spoke of her passion for crafting corsets and perfume. She loved to bake. She was estranged from her family. They didn’t understand she didn’t want to work a boring nine-to-five job, train into the city, train home again at night, exhausted. They thought she was wasting her life away, and because she wouldn’t come around to their strict way of thinking and living, she walked away from them.

Emigh admired her spunk and dedication. Smart, sweet, articulate, and she made her laugh, which was a tough thing to do. Anise was definitely a rare breed of woman.

But how long could it last?

She couldn’t tell Anise she was a vampire, let alone that she would never die.

Vampire.

How she hated the word! But until someone came up with something new, she was stuck with it.

Of course, Anise would never believe her. No one did. Every once in a while, some beautiful woman would come along, and their connection would be instantaneous…sizzling. Emigh would find herself whispering the truth to her beloved. Inevitably, the not-so-twin-flame would beat a hasty retreat, believing Emigh was crazy, or a liar…or both.

Crazy and liar are never good things in a relationship.

Title: Rules of Love
Author: Natalie-Nicole Bates
Series: The Mobile Mistletoe #6
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 15, 2015
Publisher: Books ToGo Now
Summary:
On the surface, Paige Paget seems to have it all. She’s beautiful, confident, successful, and the co-owner of a new business, Cheer-Mania Academy, with her sister, Polly.

When she meets Jordy Evans, the brother and now guardian of Paige’s fourteen year old student, Gabrielle, she believes Jordy may be the man of her dreams.

Dating a man with the responsibility of parenting a teen means a whole new set of rules, and Paige isn’t so sure she can handle it.

But the rules of love might not let Paige get away so easy!

Rules.
I am so sick of rules.

Everyone else’s rules that my life is expected to revolve around.

The rules enforced by the nuns at the boarding school. The rules of being a cheer dancer. The rules enforced upon me by my ex on how to be the girlfriend of a major league baseball player.

The rules of dating a – for lack of a more appropriate term – single father of a teen, and now, the rules for my own business!

“Thank you for your convenient explanations to everything, Jordy. You’ve really got life nailed down! You don’t really know me, or we wouldn’t be having this conversation, and don’t for a second deign to tell me the rules of my own business! For your information I’m sick of living by everyone else’s rules! I don’t appreciate being your dirty little secret who you can blow off a little stream with, and then pretend I don’t exist!”
