Everything I saw was unreal, until a disturbing question came to mind. “Was I dead?”

Suddenly, the flapping of wings and clashing of swords became louder as the ground shook. The sky lit up again, and I gasped at what looked to be hundreds of those things fighting in the distance.

A strong gust of wind blew by, and one painfully knocked me forward. I pushed myself up again, but was singed by red and yellow glowing rocks that surrounded me and hissed like lava.

As I glanced down, I saw blood dripping from my head as it flowed down my arm, making me aware of the pain that throbbed through my skull. I struggled to keep my eyes open, while the sound of battle grew riotous in the distance.

I blinked out the tears, my eyes fixated on two magnificent, human forms glowing close by. Something about them seemed real, but as the pain in my head grew more intense, I began to struggle for consciousness. When I called out for help, one heard me and turned its head.

My addled brain thought, “It couldn’t be?”

It looked like him from a distance, but his skin was different, brighter, and eerie in a way.

He swiftly appeared in front of me, and I panicked. But, when his hands cupped my face and his fingers gently wiped my forehead, I knew.

Acquired Asset by ZN Willett

Title: Acquired Asset
Author: ZN Willett
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 6, 2016
Summary:
In the business world, Christopher Colby is a force to be reckoned with—admired by many, he's an intelligent, confident, smooth-talking COO who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

To Quinn Cordell, Christopher is a demon reincarnated—a sexy, self-centered, cocky bastard who is trying his damnedest to take over her family's company.

Normally, Quinn handles men like that very well—with precision and tactics of her own.
Quinn understands Christopher's type.

But what Quinn doesn't understand is, why she allowed Christopher to grope her in a supply closet?

He leaned in farther, pinning my back to the wall, as his face hovered over mine. “You can keep telling that to yourself sweetheart, but we both know under that beautiful exterior, there is a hungry beast inside that would stop at nothing to get what she wants.”

Christopher swept his nose over my face and inhaled; I almost lost it. I hated what he did to me and I fought to keep from grabbing him closer and dry humping him raw right there on the floor of the elevator. When the demon breathed out, the most intoxicating spell came over me.

Christopher pulled back and looked into my eyes. “You can’t blame me for going after what I want.”

He pulled away and hit the elevator button, starting it up again. We both stood there, looking at each other, but saying nothing until the door opened on Christopher’s floor.

As he stepped out, and before the door closed, he turned to me. “Eventually we are going to want the same thing.”

The Trouble with Marrying a Movie Star by ZN Willett

Title: The Trouble with Marrying a Movie Star
Author: ZN Willett
Series: Red Carpet #2
Genre: Adult, Contemporary Romance
Release Date: September 22, 2014
Summary:
Her most desired fantasies were finally being fulfilled, but at what cost?

Alexandria Moore's dreams have come true since she met actor Andrew Hughes.
Yet, when it’s revealed that he is her muse, will it cause them to grow closer, or shatter the dream into a figment of her imagination?

Will her reality survive the fantasy she has created?

They have already overcome distance, adversity, jealousy and misunderstandings. Can their relationship survive public scrutiny, old flames, insecurities and now deception?

Flashes of bright lights so blinding, that when you close your eyes, all you see is bursts of light under your lids. Your ears begin to ring, as they try to decipher the loud voices that are screaming and yelling at you, until everything becomes a mumbled blur.
                                                                     *****
Even though I could feel Andrew's hand as he pulled me through the crowd of paparazzi, at moments, I felt enclosed and alone. I felt somewhat alarmed by the frenzy of reporters that we had to walk past as we hurried to the ticket counter. I struggled to look up as camera flashes continued to assault my senses. This is what it feels like to have your picture taken without your consent—not knowing where it was going, or what they would do with it. Usually, it is a family member or friend on the other side of the lens. They capture a place, or time in your life that means something. You can always veto a lousy photo if you want, or laugh at the ones that have been taken. But this felt…wrong.

As we approached the counter, there was a woman in a red jacket that instantly greeted us. "I called security, Mr. Hughes." Andrew nodded, and greeted her with a handshake.

"Thank you. My Security Director wanted to leave someone with us, but I insisted that we would be fine."

Andrew looked at me apologetically. "My girlfriend has caused quite a stir," Andrew said, squeezing my hand tightly as he tried to make light of the situation.

She nodded in understanding. "Let’s get you two checked in, and I will escort you to the plane." She signaled to someone behind us. "It looks as if security has arrived."

I turned and saw four large men in uniform. One stood directly behind us while the other three directed the paparazzi to stay back.

Andrew asked for my passport and the agent checked us in. You could hear the shutters of the cameras capturing this mundane act. I turned my head, getting a better look at the men. When we had first stepped out of the taxi, I had shielded my eyes from the blinding lights as Andrew stressed to keep my head down. "Don't look at them, say nothing!" he shouted as he guided me along.

My anxiety grew at that thought, and suddenly, I felt light-headed. "Andrew…"

He turned his head, seeing my distress, and came to me immediately. "Andria, what is it?"

His eyes showed so much concern. Sadly, I wanted this…well, not this per se, but I had pushed for Andrew and me to be a real couple. Yet, I started to wonder if I might have bitten off more than I could chew.

The Trouble with Dating a Movie Star #1
Summary:
A.P. Moore's provocative romance throws her onto the Best Sellers list, but Alexandria’s life was far from the steamy pages of her romance.

Andrew Hughes, the most desired man in Hollywood was at the height of his career. Nothing could be better, until a chance meeting with Alexandria Moore that went horribly wrong. The man who had everything soon realized what Hollywood couldn't give him.

Or could it?

An invitation that leads to a premier, offers a second chance, and a Hollywood romance straight out of the pages of a magazine. Yet, this story will not be filled with butterfly kisses and midnight strolls, but with tangled webs filled with lust, desire, jealousy and deceit.

It is Hollywood after all.

1.  What is the biggest influence/interest that brought you to this genre?
I was born a romantic.  I have been planning weddings since I was a little girl—just not my own. I have always enjoyed reading romance novels; yet, I recently discovered the more erotic genres. There had always been a bit of a sexual undertone in the dark recesses of my mind, but just recently has flowed out into my writing.

2. When writing a book, what is your favorite part of the creative process(outline, plot, character names, editing, etc)?
Even though every book that I have outlined the plot always changed, I enjoyed this part immensely.  But, nothing excites me more than character development.  Understanding who they are and creating what happened to mold their characteristics, I would say is my favorite part of the creative process.

3.  When reading a book, what genre do you find most interesting/intriguing?
I have been trying to read outside of my normal fiction romance genre.  I started pre-reading a science fiction manuscript coming out next year that I am enjoying greatly.  I also am reading a lot of Dystopias lately.

4. If you could co-author with any author, past or present, who would you choose?
That's a difficult answer.  I view co-authoring as a learning tool as well.  I would always choose someone who I admired or respected.  Someone who would bring out the best in me and there are too many out there to choose from.  But, if I had to choose one, it would probably be Ann Rice.  Not just because she was born in my home state of Louisiana; the diversity of works that she has created from Gothic Fiction, to Christian Literature and Erotica is astonishing.  The woman is amazing!

5. Have you always wanted to write or did it come to you "later in life"?
Writing came later in life for me.  I would create stories in my head as a child, especially on long car rides to entertain myself.  This was well before iPads.  My first writing exercise was a short story.  My very best friend was tired of me emailing her at work while I was out on medical leave.  She suggested I find a creative outlet to keep myself busy and out of her hair so to speak.  She found a short story contest and said, "You like romances," and signed me up.  That entry was the worst thing I had ever written, I believe, but it sparked something inside of me to try again.
