Catching Up with Love by Amy Manemann
Before she could call out a good morning greeting, he suddenly jumped, releasing a stream of curses that would have made a sailor blush.

“Are you alright…” her voice trailed off as his fingers dug beneath the hem of his shirt and he pulled it over his head with a jerk, revealing the mouthwatering muscles that lay beneath. Washboard abs, hard pecks, and muscles bulged everywhere she looked, and she naughtily looked her fill. Oh Lord, she breathed, desire pulsing through every inch of her body. He was going to be the death of her.

A hint of a smile curved the corners of his mouth when she finally met his gaze, and the breath caught in the back of her throat at the hungry desire in his eyes.

“Good morning,” he said huskily, tossing his shirt into the sink and turning on the tap. “Sleep well?”

“Mm-hm,” was the only legible response she could come up with, her brain sluggish against the fog of desire blanketing her. She really needed to get a grip. Except all she could focus on were the rippling muscles on display. He was going to have to put a shirt on if she was going to have any coherent thoughts today.

“You keep undressing me with your eyes like that and we’ll be late for breakfast,” he mused aloud. Liza was thankful he wasn’t looking at her, because she was fairly certain her cheeks were bright red at that moment.

Clearing her throat, she tossed her long hair over her shoulder, leaning a hip against the countertop. “It’s not my fault you decided to do a strip tease in the kitchen.”

This time he looked at her, a grin cracking his face. “I don’t know if you were aware of it, but bacon grease hurts like a bitch when it hits you. Plus, I didn’t want my shirt to get ruined. It’s one of my favorites.”

Though soaking wet, he held up the faded t-shirt, the tell-tale insigne for the Marlins peeking back at her. She should have guessed.

“Nice shirt.” She tapped her fingers on the countertop, noticing for the first time that they were alone in the kitchen. “No Penelope today?”

“Nope, I convinced her to let me make breakfast this morning, promising I wouldn’t burn the house down. I hope you like bacon, eggs and toast.”

As if on cue, Liza’s stomach rumbled loudly. They both laughed.

“I’ll take that as a yes.” He wrung water from his shirt, shutting off the tap with his elbow. Droplets of water run down the front of his pecs, and Liza followed them hungrily.

“Not that I don’t appreciate the show,” she let her eyes linger on his abs, “but if you expect me to eat breakfast with you, it’d go a lot smoother if you put on a shirt.”

With a grin that sent her stomach somersaulting, Nolan dropped the shirt in the sink and stalked towards her, crowding her space with his body until she was completely off balance. Liza grabbed hold of the first thing she came in contact with, which just so happened to be his broad shoulder. His arm snaked around her waist, holding her in place as the heat of his skin seared her hand, burning through her clothes. What she wouldn’t give to be skin to skin with him right now.

“Are you sure about that, Sweet Cheeks? Your lips,” his heavy stare landed on her mouth for a full second before rising back to her eyes, “say one thing, but your eyes are saying something else.”

DENNY SLID HIS BODY DOWN until his head was fully submerged in the Jacuzzi. When his phone starting buzzing, he decided to drown out the sound. Literally. He knew who it was, and he knew why. His friends—mostly Jeff Hammond and Sage Remington—had been hounding him to get out more ever since his wife, Sara, had died a few months earlier. Now here he was on a Friday night alone, and he knew his friends worried about him.

He tried telling both friends that he enjoyed staying at home once he finished his day as the manager of Hammond Homes, which his friend Jeff owned.

“I told Sara I wouldn’t’ let you feel sorry for yourself, and I’m not going to let her down,” Jeff had said the day before. “Sage and some of the other guys are meeting up tomorrow at Nightcaps, and you’d better be there or Sage and I are going to come over to your house and put you in a strait jacket, or you can go willingly.

So Denny knew who kept calling persistently. With a sigh, he stood up and reached for a towel. In a few minutes, there would be pounding on his door, before Jeff took the liberty of using his own key to come into his house. Sage would be sure to follow.

Only this time, when he opened the door, he discovered they had double teamed him. Kurt and Dex Remington, Sage’s brothers, came along with the other two. When he saw the three hulking Remington brothers and his best friend standing in his living room, he knew he had no choice but to put on some clothes and go out with the four of them.

“Get your ass dressed,” Jeff commanded.

“Or you’re going just like that into the strait jacket,” Sage said. “You’ve got no choice.”

“Besides, Leanna has brought along one of her friends, and she’s a looker,” Kurt said referring to his girlfriend. “And hurry it up, the girls are getting plastered at the bar without us there.”

“And running up our bar tab,” Dex said.

“All right.” Denny caved and gave into their demands because he knew he had no choice. “But I sure wish you’d stop trying to fix me up. I’m not ready.”

The four other men shook their heads, then pushed him toward the bedroom to get dressed.

Marco nodded, turned, and dragged Gia from the bar, across the sticky tiles.

"Stop it!" she protested. "You're hurting me. I still have bruises."

Marco said nothing, shoving open the door.

Gia blinked again, her eyes stinging from the late morning light. She glanced at the grimy sidewalk, covered with litter. "Where'd you learn to fight like that?"

"Marines," Marco said, in clipped tones.

Her eyebrows flew up. I've got a Marine as my sober companion? Shit. I just thought him a fitness addict. Real fear made an appearance for the first time since this whole shit-storm began, like arms trying to crush her chest.

"So, what next?" she said, still tripping over her feet.

The guy had a long-legged stride.

"New plan," Marco said, approaching a shiny SUV.

A couple of teens lounged against the vehicle, arms crossed. One of them had a cigarette dangling from his lips.

"Thanks for watching the car, guys." Marco fished in his pocket, pulled out a wad of bills, and tossed it in the boys' direction.

The kid with the smoke deftly caught the crumpled bills. He removed the cigarette from his mouth and fingered the cash. When he unfolded the wad, he grinned.

"No problem.” He nodded to his companion. “Let's roll."

Marco dragged Gia toward the vehicle. He hauled open the passenger door and shoved her into the seat.

"Ouch! Quit being so rough with me," she said, noting the same new whine as yesterday.

"Apparently, you like it rough if those sleaze-bags I just tossed are any indication." He reached down for the glove box, opened it, and retrieved a set of handcuffs.

Gia's eyes grew large. "What are you going to do with those?"

"Sex games, what do you think?" Marco said, a glint in his eye.

For a fleeting second, hope flitted through her woozy brain. Might be nice.

He grabbed her wrist and fitted one of the cuffs over it. He clicked it shut. He fitted the other end over the door handle before slamming the door shut.

She tugged against her restraints. They didn’t give. She let out a sigh and slumped against the interior.

Marco climbed in the other side, blasted on the ignition, and took off.

"Where are we going?" she asked, as they headed out of Peckham.

"You'll see." His lips pressed tight.

Gia stared out the window at the London cityscape. When it yielded to rolling hills and quaint cottages, her brow furrowed.

"Where are we going?" she asked again.

The big guy stayed quiet.

"So, I get to know nothing?" she asked. She started to cross her arms at his silence, but the cuffs pulled at her wrist. She let out a huffy sigh.

He drove through a silly little town full of shops and tourists, and then headed toward the hills. He hooked a hard right into a gravel-lined driveway, leading up to an innocuous looking house at the top of one of the hills.

"B&B?" Gia said, grinning. "Is this where the sex games commence?"

Faith in Love by C.M. Albert
Egan looked around, taking in the floor-to-ceiling book cases that lined two adjoining walls. “These are gorgeous. Are you a big reader?” Egan set his duffle bag onto the pull-out sofa which Celeste had already made up. As he lifted his messenger bag over his head, his shirt rode up and Celeste inhaled sharply when she caught a glimpse of his toned stomach, his abs flush and tight beneath the buckle of his jeans.

She quickly turned her face to avoid meeting his gaze. The raw surge of heat went straight to her belly this time, skipping her cheeks entirely. She hadn’t had a reaction like this to a man in a long, long time.

“Voracious,” she whispered.

Egan lifted a brow, amused. “Are we still talking about reading?”

Celeste cleared her throat. “I’d better let you get settled. I’ll see you up on the front porch in a few?”

Celeste didn’t wait for an answer. She hurried upstairs and made her way to the laundry room. Closing the door behind her, she stood there in the dark, her heart racing. She ran her hand up along her chest to her neck, trying to roll away the tension and desire that had seared inside of her during her exchange with Egan. This was not good at all.

“It’s just attraction,” she whispered to herself. “It doesn’t mean a thing.”

But deep in the pit of her stomach, she felt an ache. More like a flutter. Something was awakening that she thought she’d long since tempered. Hope.

Crazy Love by Calinda B
“What’s the plan?” Dante’s drummer Gia asked.

“Tag wants us to take control of the stage at intermission. He won’t say a thing. He wants to see how long it is before recognition dawns.”

Keys guffawed. “About the time it takes for Heat here to blow his load while laying between two hotties…two seconds.”

“Fuck off,” Heat said. “They double teamed me.”

“Cool it, you two,” said Dante. “So, it’ll be a short set, but let’s make it count. We’ll start with Wet, ramp up with Hungry and end with Want.”

“Now, there’s an explosive set,” Gia said. “You must need to blow off some steam.”

“You could say that,” Dante said, thinking of Kennedy. The feel of her on top of him…it was far better than he could have imagined. Giving her control was do-able. Stopping himself from claiming her, taking her the way he wanted — now that was pure torture. And when she left the way she did? He shook his head. The entire encounter proved unsatisfactory in the long run, leading to him standing here in SoHo-Mios with his band mates, confused, angry and twitchy as hell.

Give in to Love by Natasha Brown

She placed her hand on the bull’s forehead and gave it a scratch before leaning down. A sudden twitch of its head caught Kara off balance. With her eyes on the horns, she teetered, and fell into the red sludge. Her chest, arms and legs landed with a splat in the mud. Although surprised, she couldn’t help but laugh.

Snickers joined hers, as Miles’s hands grabbed her and with some effort, lifted her upright. Clay-covered and stiff, she allowed herself to get spun around. His lips pulled into a broad grin as he tugged her close.

“Watch out, I’ll get you dirty,” she murmured.

“Too late. Are you okay?” he asked, ignoring her muddy hands touching his forearms and pulled away to look her over.

Kara’s eyes trailed up to his face and caught there. Instead of answering, she nodded her head in small movements. Every second that passed, she began to notice what it was like having arms wrapped around her and the rise and fall of a strong chest. She’d never felt like she belonged anywhere like she did in his arms.

“Willow, I’d like you to meet Dex Remington to your left and,” Marcus pointed to a guy wearing funky, steampunk style glasses sitting across from Dex, “Mitch Anziano, both from Thrive Entertainment.”

I nodded. “My pleasure to meet all of you.” I extended my hand to Tate. When he took it with a soft, flirty grip, I wanted to jerk it clear and punch him.

“I’ll just call you coffee girl.” He snickered.

“Well then, I suppose I could call you ass—”

“Willow, can you start the video please?” Marcus inserted before I could claim my own space in the world of sarcasm.

Tate’s cockiness was a challenge and normally, one I’d accept. After all, he was definitely attractive and there was something to be said about his broad shoulders and dark, unruly hair. But, racing was off limits to me. Way beyond addiction, it was a one-way flight straight into hell.

Cooking Up Love by Stacey Wallace
Fabiana felt herself swoon a bit at the thought of this man all sweaty and dirty, sitting on the curb, his gear spread out around him, wolfing down a meal that undoubtedly contained cream of mushroom soup and tater tots. She enjoyed watching people eat with gusto after a hard day’s work.

She took a chance and slipped one of her ancient cards from the little-used pocket on the front of her purse. After quickly inspecting it to make sure she hadn’t used it as scratch paper or written a phone number on it, Fabiana thrust it at the guy. “I run the cooking program over at Tableau. My Beginner’s class starts this Saturday if you’re interested.”

The man grinned from ear to ear and blushed, taking the card from her hand. He looked it over. “Fabiana? What a cool name. I’m James.” He stowed the card in his pants pocket and then offered his hand to her. “Thanks for saving me from further humiliation. I’ll be sure to check out your class. Lord knows I need it.”

During the drive back from his parents' place, she'd slumped over, practically landing in his lap. He'd ended up pulling her against his side to keep her from sliding off the seat.

Yeah, right. You just wanted to feel her against you. Touch her.

"Emma, honey, wake up."

"Don't wanna. Sleepy now."

He sighed and stared down at the barely awake but enticingly beautiful blonde. There were two very good reasons he didn't want to grab her in his arms, race upstairs and toss her into his bed. A—because she'd be mortified when she woke up and found herself sprawled out in her ex-husband's bed. And B—he wasn't sure his knee would hold up under the added strain.

With a grimace, he propped her languorously limp body against the seat and slid out, going around to the passenger door.

"Emma, come on, baby. Let's get you to bed."

The sunglasses slid down until they perched on the end of her nose. She opened her eyes, sleepy and yet a brilliant green even in the muted light of the garage. So damned gorgeous.

"What? Bed? Umm hmm, bed sounds good."

Kathy Ivan
USA TODAY Bestselling author Kathy Ivan spent most of her life with her nose between the pages of a book. From best-selling authors to just-getting-started writers, as long as it was a good story, she devoured it and happily searched for the next romance novel. It didn't matter if the book was a paranormal romance, romantic suspense, or action and adventure thrillers, sweet & spicy or sexy novella. As long as there was an alpha hero and a feisty heroine who got their happily ever after, she'd gladly spend her time with a psychic in New Orleans, or a mysterious stranger manipulating the fate of lovers. Kathy turned her obsession with reading into the next logical step, writing. Her books transport you from a paranormal lodge in the Colorado Mountains to the sultry splendor of the French Quarter in New Orleans in her award winning romantic suspense and mysteries. Kathy tells stories people can’t get enough of; reuniting old loves, betrayal of trust, finding kidnapped children, psychics and even a ghost or two. But one thing they all have in common - love (and some pretty steamy sex scenes too).
