Now that January is nearly over I've reached the end of the Best of 2023 posts here at Padme's Library. In case you missed any you will find links to all of the posts here. Be sure and have a look at some of my bests, it was difficult to narrow it down, there were just so many lovely and entertaining books, novellas, and short stories that graced my Kindle but I was finally able to put the lists together. Hope you agree and maybe you will find something new to add to your 2024 TBR list. As the new year moves forward and we say goodbye to the old, we find ourselves looking at our "Best of" lists. So this week's Friday Film Adaptation post will feature the most viewed of 2023. Click on the title links to take you to the original posts. It's possible not all the original purchase links will still work, in those cases be sure to check the author's websites/links for latest purchasing details and in some cases where the original book the film was based on is an older publication, you might find better luck at your local library.

Vivian Walsh Vivian Walsh's best selling book, "Olive, the Other Reindeer," is based on her Jack Russell Terrier. Olive is a relentlessly active, determined, well-loved, and sometimes confused lap dog. Olive is flattered that in the animated version of the book she was portrayed by the fabulous Drew Barrymore. The TV special was put together by Matt Groening, creator of the Simpsons.
The Mr. Lunch books are about the adventures of a dog who is a professional bird chaser. These books were based on the diligent and earnest efforts of another pet Jack Russell terrier.
The goal of this particular author is the share the love of story and books amongst the young. Her next title will feature two of the larger creatures in the animal kingdom: a hippo and another hippo.
